Three things I absolutely loved in today's episode:
1. Sonu's torment. It's extremely difficult for children to hate their parents because loving them comes naturally to us. No matter how awful your parent is, somewhere deep down, there might still be a part ready to give them a chance so everything can be okay. Hating your parent takes a toll on you--you're giving away a part of your own identity in the process, and consciously or subconsciously, you end up hating a part of yourself too. Ahaan and Sonu both have similar torments but Ahaan is just very, very skilled at hiding his, to the extent where he has convinced himself that there's no part of him that will ever forgive or love her.
2. Ishqi pointing out that emotions are not dependent on gender. This whole mard ko dard nahi hota concept is so problematic because it creates unrealistic expectations and standards for both males and females. Women can handle certain pain and struggles without breaking down every two seconds. Men can feel heartbreak and cry their eyes out. If God (or whatever higher power you might believe in) didn't want it that way, God would not have given males tear glands. Seriously. Men need to know that women can handle them crying when something awful has happened without that affecting their 'manliness'.
3. Kambal ke neeche dangal aur baad mein mangal hi mangal 🤣🤣🤣
