A kiss is the most basic form of showing affection between two lovers. The most effin basic.

IMO, those sultry scenes with the pallu scenes, navel kisses type ke scenes are actually a lot more awkward to watch with family 🤢 but woh chalta hai ITV pe

Those are so much more intimate scenes but woh saalo se chalta aaraha hai, pallu neeche gir jaana hero ka dekh lena type ke scenes

But a simple lip kiss they have a huge problem with the *facepalm*

Kissing scenes are so damn common, I used to watch shows as a kid on Nick and Disney which had kissing scenes between college/school going peeps *facepalm* and yaha two mature individuals won't kiss

I assume it's got to do with the perception that unlike OTT platforms, tv is still a means of 'family' entertainment. Watching a series with family members is quite a common practice in our cultural setting, and most families still get awkward when too much on-screen intimacy is shown, be it movies or shows. The makers have to keep it controversy-free warna bohat log dharne pe chale jayenge sanskaaro ko lut te dekh😳

The thing is it is not that ITV does not show any intimacy. They do show intimate scenes on ITV. Suhagraat scenes and everything but not a kiss. Kiss se toh kaafi zada awkward cheezein dikhate hai ITV waale.

I faintly remember as a kid.. I entered my parent’s room and my mom was watching khwahish..

I still remember there was a dialogue where Mallika Sherawat says, “ mere paas toh bag bhar ke hai (condoms)” when the guy asks her.. and I was like OMG… my mom was like not for kids.. and shooed me outside the room. It’s something I never forgot 😆
