Changes in Ishqi :

1) If the leap promo is believed that Ishqi actually is a timid girl now , the only way it's acceptable is if

-Make her forget everything everyone . Some kind of head injury in an accident planned by Mayank to kill Ishqi. She survived but lost her memories.

-She is faking it all. She is acting as if she forgot everyone and everything. My baby Rishky Ishki is still the same but acting it out in front of Malhotras and Mayank.

2) If the show is not ending any time soon and if Ishqi actually faking it all to catch Monkey, she may change a bit after the reveal.Then the makers may go for redemption+ jealousy by introducing a new character who helps Ishqi in her career.

3) The most probable one is all what we saw is indeed right. She had to work under Malhotras as waitress....more humiliation...more taunts....Ishqi not giving it back.

Worst come to worst if it is number 3 or even faking like number 2, I wonder if Ahaan will melt all over again seeing her sad state despite not knowing the truth and despite his hatred. Or will he only regret and start liking her again after the truth is out. This show is so unpredictable, have to get through this hard week to come to know I guess.

On insta the small clip of Savi-Ishqi showed up ... I actually liked that bit. Maybe we will see the two team up and hopefully become strong ... but apart from karma coming into play I’m not interested in much.

like all here ... I do want a new pairing for Ishqi - someone who is progressive, sanskari and trusting. Someone that’ll make AVM look like a chirimaar in comparison. And I want Malhotras (except Karthik n his mom) to burn in their own fire... best would be Sarla making their life miserable.

The best punishment for Sonu would be if Raj expresses disgust for her after he gets to know the whole truth. So far Raj seems like a very upright fair-minded reasonable sensible guy. I hope he loses respect for Sonu when he gets to know she kept quiet & let Ishqi suffer when she cld have at least confided in him. But it may not happen, coz he will also feel bad for Sonu that she had to suffer at the hands of Mayank & almost committed suicide.

Plus it was weird that Sonu didn't think it could have been Mayank... considering she knows his feeling for her (she said in an episode that she doesn't trust him when he told her he is over her and will focus on Ishqi)....

I understand that Sonu should have stood up and spoken the truth, but the reality is her family, especially Ahaan and Daadi are more to blame for the way she is. They have put her under immense pressure and stress to behave in a certain way or she is good for nothing. They didn't raise her to be an independent woman who can fend for herself. She thought killing herself would be easier than tell her brother the truth. She blames herself for what was done to her. Sarla constantly reminds her that she can be thrown out anytime she wants, her Daadi & Ahaan set good examples by giving in & saying she has to adjust.

She is a bigger victim in the situation - a victim of society, family & sexual abuse/violation.

Imagine putting yourself in a situation where a guy takes compromising pictures of you/violates you and then threatens. Mayank can still leak those pictures for the world to see. Even if he does go to jail, she cannot get back her dignity.

Walking out of her wedding and not revealing the truth is Ishqi's decision, not Sonu's.

You are correct. I was a bit miffed at her.... but as I watch the episodes I do agree. Both the girls are victim here.... and you explained to eloquently. I hope that Raj is able to provide the support she needs maybe that will make her a stronger person.

Guys!! True Sonu should say something, but for that Sonu has to have the same beliefs and same outlook on life like Ishqi! Before you keep that expectation, You guys also have to understand where Sonu is coming from!!

Sonu being a girl and growing up with a grandmother telling her how she needs to be, who she needs to be, her big brother Ahaan always guilt tripping her to “not to anything bad, or spoil his or their family’s name,” a mother-in-law who is worst than them all and the most orthodox, pressuring her to “live up to expectations, or else.. she’s can’t marry her son. Having so much of these on her has burdened her so much that she did not know how to deal! She also knew, if she said anything, hers and Mayank’s relationship truth would also be out, as a result of which it would affect ALL families. She had ALOT of things playing on her which is paralyzing her from making all reach the truth. Fear has made her immobile!

Whereas Ishqi, she growing up, always listened to her heart as she didn’t have to grow up in such a setting, so she learned to always stand up for herself and speak for herself in whatever she wanted and needed, in life! So it’s this confidence that allowed her to fight for the truth, especially when she knows, she has nothing to loose, but knows, Sonu has EVERYTHING to loose, if she says anything!

Ahaan is feeling guilty by the fact that Ishqi called off her marriage because of her feelings for him, so by cutting her out he feels justified as he feels he brought his friend justice. It’s a self validation he is giving himself because somewhere he feels he betrayed Mayank because of his feelings for Ishqi. He also doesn’t know the truth, so let’s wait for the truth to unfold to him!!

Karthik is fabulous as usual.. so let’s just wait and watch!

Don’t hate, but wait, to understand the story and the characters better!!

before I found this show cringe because of the lead actress’s overacting! But now that she has improved tremendously, and the story too uis keeping up the pace, it can find be easier to watch!!

i ll be extremely sad if we dont see a more serious, stable and bolder ishqi who despises ahaan. who shows indifference in shuruat . i mean ahaan was dirty, more than the lovestory i m rooting for their character development neo

It is high time they show character development, especially for Ahaan. He fell for Ishqi but he has;t really changed his views about girls. He needs to learn that Ishqi is very strong girl and any girl can handle hardest situations, working women are as sanskari as housewives, choosing love over marriage is not wrong etc
