Clinical performance from MI tonight, they outplayed their opponents thoroughly tonight. 161 was a decent total and MI made it seem like an absolute mountain. The Warriorz chase never took off, at the end of the powerplay they were 17/3 and there was no coming back from that. Wickets tumbled at regular intervals and it was a spineless batting performance. Deepti Sharma was the only one that got some runs, she struck a fifty but it was consolatory at best. Saika Ishaque was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets while Sciver-Brunt picked up 2.

Could've been a lot worse had it not been for a few blows at the back end from Deepti.

Alyssa Healy: I thought Mumbai executed really well with the ball. Not a great start losing three wickets with the bat. We have been working really hard, the nature of the competition is such that it does not give you much time to work hard. We have dropped a couple of catches in almost every game and that has cost us. We had watched the conditions a lot on TV but didn't assess it on the day, but we move on and come back stronger tomorrow. It would be nice for the top four to be scoring runs, but happy Deepti is getting the runs right through the tournament.

Harmanpreet Kaur | MI Captain: Initially thought we might be 20 runs short but we managed very well when they came out to bat. That partnership was key, Sciver-Brunt batted really well, I was just rotating the strike. Kerr also batted really well but I thought they bowled well too, didn't give away too much. When we were batting, we knew that there was something in the pitch and that's what I told my bowlers. It wasn't a big total but I told them we could manage if we could put it in the right lengths.

Nat Sciver-Brunt | Player of the Match: Very happy, we wanted to put some things right from the last game. Probably didn't get off to the best of starts but decent total in the end. We sort of knew it was going to be a bit low but you're not really sure until you play on it. We wanted to get up to 160 because we knew it was such a quick outfield. I like playing off the backfoot. Very happy with that, it's a change-up I've been working on.

Saika Ishaque: (On the wicket of Navgire) Just wanted to deny her room and bowl at the pads. She (Harmanpreet) asked me what I was going to bowl (after getting hit for six). I said I wanted to bowl a yorker and I got a wicket. Last season also, there was a period when I got wickets early in the tournament but did not get them later. I had told you that time that I would love if I pick them at a later stage and happy that is happening now (laughs). We did not feel the total was less. The pitch slows down in the second innings, and we felt it was a good total to fight. (On her celebration) Just happy that I could get a wicket after a long time.

Alyssa Healy, UP Warriorz captain: Mumbai executed really well with the ball. To lose three in the powerplay, it was not a great way to start. Our bowlers did a fantastic job (restricting them to that score). We could not get it done with the bat. (On the catching and fielding) We have been working really hard at it. We are dropping a couple of catches a game and that is not ideal. Cannot fault anyone's effort. (On the match tomorrow) We learned a lot about the conditions tonight. Didn't experience them until tonight. We will reassess, with the same attitude and hopefully we can get a result. (On Deepti's batting) It is great to see our batters contributing. It would have been nice for the top four to do the bulk of the job. Deepti making runs has been great for the middle order and hopefully one of us can support her (tomorrow).
