Friends, here is the news---

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has suspended the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 for the time being after several players and support staff tested positive for COVID-19.

The decision comes close on the heels of Monday's IPL 2021 match between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Ahmedabad being rescheduled after the Knight Riders' spinner Varun Chakravarthy and seam bowler Sandeep Warrier tested positive for Covid-19.

According to IPL Governing Council members, the decision was taken after Amit Mishra and Wriddhiman Saha too tested positive on Tuesday. Multiple BCCI officials and the franchises too confirmed the development.

As a coin has two sides..

Whether to continue IPL or not has also two sides..

The revenue generated by THE MEGA CRICKETING EVENT like IPL is HUGE.

No state or even BCCI will be ready to discontine the event and eventually loose the HUGE MONEY.

These cricketeras should come forward and donate either money or food or any other thing which is necessary in this condition. Some of them have already done it.

But, still the Nation needs more.

Well said Vijay. Donation shouldn't be an obligation. It should be felt as caring and sharing when needed, not as giving.

After Pat Cummins Donates 37 Lakh, haters bash Kohli without knowing how much he’s done already. Looking at the contributions made by the Australians, people are upset at the captain of Team India, Virat Kohli, for not making such donations. Many have evidently forgotten the kind of massive contribution Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma had made for the very same cause.

Hope is a powerful thing. It inspires us to do the impossible and helps us carry on during difficult times. And hope can come in many shapes and forms. It may be through our favorite music, or a good book, or even by watching the sports playing with good spirit.

From where we sit, in the apparent security of our homes, we feel more connected intuitively with the world, by watching the IPL.

We all have had experiences when fate hands us a wake-up call , in the form of pandemic: we have lost someone, faced a serious illness, felt our identity crumble, experienced a reversal of fortune or even when we have been betrayed at the time of our tragedy. On the human level, it takes courage to love, to risk and to remain open to life in the face of uncertainty and constant change.

We want to gather our loved ones around us now, find our true purpose and express the joy of being alive. We somehow feel more connected to life, while watching the IPL matches with family.

Friends please watch this....

A video of an ambulance driver dancing with a baraat while donning a PPE kit in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani outside the Sushila Tiwari Medical College has gone viral on social media.

https://www.iplt20.com/news/238264/ipl-reschedules-kkr-rcb-match-slated-for-may-3-2021-after-2-kkr-players-test-positive

Today's news of 2 KKR players tested covid positive and the match getting postponed is the right decision. There are rumours floating that some people are not taking this Bio Bubble seriously.

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/ipl/top-stories/ipl-2021-three-csk-members-test-positive-then-negative-bcci-needs-to-take-a-hard-call-on-ipl/articleshow/82369242.cms

Even 3 players of CSK first tested positive and negative in the followup is bound to make the players jittery.

even in all this strict precautions , 2 players found positive is alarming. one team 2 players means ther chances f co players too having the virus...or not...

@anisharoy1 and @ Nichuss, thanks for sharing your valuable views.🤗

India is reeling under a deadly second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, the IPL continues in a bubble of its own, with its players and administrators seemingly oblivious to the calamity unfolding around them.

Almost all of India is reeling, with its healthcare infrastructure in shambles, and its funeral grounds overwhelmed, calls to halt the tournament have escalated in recent days, spurred on by this contrast. Predictably enough, defenses of the IPL have also emerged.

“It is misguided moral outrage to call for an end to the IPL amid the pandemic,” argues a recent editorial in the Indian Express.

Many are arguing that for a few hours of escape to people under stress is to be a killjoy bent on planting a flag on the moral high ground.

Another powerful argument that the IPL isn’t offering people respite, it’s milking a captive audience, imprisoned indoors by the pandemic, for advertising money.

Now it is a discussing point in social media, many are supporting the continuation of IPL, and an equal number of people are questioning it on moral grounds.

I hope it's just a week suspension .

They might try to reset the bubble and complete the matches in doubles headers .

The ongoing covid lockdown is working on our nerves. More than 1 year we are staying away from the outside world. That is impacted on our state of mind. This IPL is a big relief .

By playing in this adverse situation, the players are contributing immensely. They are risking their lives and staying away from their families in these difficult times itself is a big donation.

We can't count everything in numbers and it will be difficult to say whether it is good or bad, it is good for now. Let us spend a few hours away from disease and suffering.

IPL is a big relief for millions.
