Drona's epi 2 was even more boring than the first! 🤢

Next is Arjun...hope it is interesting.

BTW, I am reading (almost finished actually) the book The Great Indian Novel by Shashi Tharoor. Has anyone here read it? It is one of the most hilarious books I have read...😆...India's history from pre Independence times to the mid 80s transposed on the Mahabharata. 😛 If this book has already been discussed earlier, sorry...I must have missed the thread on the MB forum!

Speaking of Ajaya, I came across a thread in this forum made by the author himself...
I was actually amazed to see that...Even the writer of AC is active on IF, I guess...

Yeah they digressed from the epic (wrt KMG) while showing Abhimanyu's final moments. From what Ive read and understood about the way he was killed in the epic, it seemed like he had one to one fights with many warriors one after the another, without any breaks, before being dealt the final blow by Duryodhan's son. Would have appreciated the episode more had they not reduced Abhimanyu vadh to to such a simplistic portrayal.

Wrt Drona being singled out for fighting in the war as a Brahmin was the amount of screentime they devoted to the issue. I wanted to know whether Brahmins weren't usually supposed to fight wars, even if they were trainers in military techniques and arms and whether Drona, Kripa were exceptions to this rule.

I finished that book...gosh, I have decided to buy a copy! It was wonderful figuring out who is who with respect to the epic and the history...Draupadi Mokrasi was the best name of all! 😆

I have still not been able to figure out a few of the people...have to dig into history now to find out! 😃

Looks like the interesting part of Arjun taking the stand is shelved for next week...from the promos it looks like that is when Drau accuses him...that should be interesting

Today's episode was mostly about Mayasur...why he got some much tele time I cannot fathom...
And as usual Karna and Duryodhana jumped in willy nily and had to be admonished by Chitragupt...Karna especially forgot it was Chitragupt's court and continued from where he had left off at Kurukshetra!! Loved the lines that Chitragupt used to bring order to court when that happened!

Arjun did most of the talking required for defending himself today which was a pleasant change.
And Bheesma finally spoke too!! The deep bond between Arjun and Bheesma was shown quite nicely i thought.

Looking forward to next week where Drau outright accuses him.

As much as I love Ardi...I really want Arjun to answer certain questions...

How could they blame Arjun for mayabhavan nirmaan 😡 such a lame excuse had he not told Mayasur to make that palace then Duri's insult would not have happened, etc etc but was the mayabhavan's insult the only one fuel behind Duri's anger? certainly not! it was the pomp of Rajasuya which made him jealous. Then how on earth Arjun gets a blame here 😕 but I loved Arjun's reply that if we try to find the indirect reasons like this then Pitamaha's oath was the greatest incident which should not have taken 😆 I loved the smart Arjun 👍🏼
& loved the replies Karna got, both from Arjun & Chitragupta 👏 Chitragupta was so correct about Karna's problem 🤣 & Arjun made it clear what the difference between them was
Loved the cute Pandav-Panchali scene in flashback 😳 & of course, Krishna-Arjun one I knew that Krishna would not be able to resist Himself if Arjun seemed to be unable to defend himself 😊 He is always ready to break His oath to protect His beloved Pandavas 😊
& finally, the Bhishma-Arjun emotional scene was eye-watering 😭
