Varnita, I checked in valmikiramayana.net and found this reference to Vali and Sugriva's father. It said it's someone called Riskhaja. This makes me think that they're similar to the Pandavas. The Pandavas' father is called Pandu because he raised them, but their actual fathers were Gods. Likewise, Indra and Surya maybe blessed their mother with their sons, kind of like Anjana and Pavan Dev also. Pavan Dev is Hanuman's biological father but Kesari is his foster father, so the biological fathers of Vali and Sugreev must be Indra and Surya, whereas the foster fother is Rikshaja.
