Here are some more recent promos. The sets are very similar to ASR, but I have to say that I like the costumes, especially those of the Rajmatas in promo one, much much more. At 0:19, we see Raam taking the blessings of someone who might be Kausalya. Doesn't her dress look SO much like Jayashree Gadkar's?

^^Aishu, yes the Rajmatas' costumes look nicer here, but I don't think they're similar to RSR Rajmatas'. They're a different type, kind of similar to DBSK's actually.

^^but don't they have that same folded crisp dupatta that RS used in his costumes? I think Jayshree wore one like that. I know for sure Deepika did.
DBSK had very thin, but heavily decorated fabric, similar to ASR. But ASR also paired that with a starchy border. And Devaki, the only elderly character I can think of from DBSK, had a very very different Rajasthani type outfit.

From the promo, it looked like they were wearing saris, not the folded dupattas we see in RSR or ASR. ASR used the folded duppatas for the Rajmatas, but like you said they paired it with something else to make it a different type of costume, whereas DBSK used a thinner kind of fabric, but Kaushalya's from the Zee Tv promo looked more like a sari with a dupatta over one shoulder than a folded dupatta. Let me see it again.

^^oh wow, yes! You're right! It's a saree. But the fabric is so much like RSR's! I like the fact that all of the women are wearing silk, or imitation silk costumes. It seems more accurate than anything else.

this conversation seems to be more fit for Lola di's costume thread. lol

Idc whether they're his fans as Ram or MSK or w/ever Jaanu, all I know is they're Gurmeet fans rather phangirls and they did pass those comments. I'm talking about the old article, not the new technology one and they used EXACTLY those words that I said cause I remember copy pasting their sentences and posting on my FB where my fellow devotee friends got higly pissed and angry too. It was highly disrespectful and rude alrite what they said. And I do see similar comment on this topic too. Wish people could differentiate between being fans and phangirls. Its a thin line though so easy to cross and GC has bunch of phangirls anyways.

As for DKDM, yeah Mohit is good but he said stuff too like "this is as close to shiv's stories as it can be".. He obviously has no idea of Lord Shiva's stories it seems. Gone are the days when actors used to do research on the character they're playing. Mehh! Just MAYBE I might catch an episode but its a big maybe. I really don't want to watch it after how badly they messed up the entire Sati part.

Yeah i does, lol. Well, let's see how the actual show is. Sometimes the costumes shown in promos are not the ones they use in shows.

Gurmeet has no phangirls as Ram, Anku, that's why I made that point. None of his fans who love him as Ram love just him. They love him because they love Ramji. But once an actor does hotshot-ish roles like MSK, thye're bound to get phangirls. Anyway, I think all actors have phangirls, but they're best ignored so don't raise your blood pressure over them, let's just enjoy discussing our fav mythos and feeling at peace.😊
Well I never read or saw Mohit's interviews so I can't comment on them, but some actors do research mytho roles even now. Gurmeet and Vishal (Krishna of DBSK) said they researched about the characters they were playing before the show started. Unfortunately for Vishal the CVs butchered his show, or else he was pretty good as Krishna individually. Anyway, it doesn't matter if actors research their characters if the directors don't have proper direction, does it? Actors can only do so much when they're told to act in a certain way. With mythos that go the wrong way, I tend to blame the direction more than the actors. After all, we all would dislike Arun-Deeps too if they were directed under someone like Moti Sagar or Meenakshi Sagar, who don't know the first thing about taking a mytho.
What you can do with Dkdm is read a few written updates and see if they catch your interest. That way, you won't be wasting time on watching something you don't like.
