One question...could you tell me who the lady in this pic is? It's neither Draupadi nor Subhadra so I'm curious.😛 Is it Ulupi or Chitrangada, Arjun's other two wives?

Lol I know you asked Deeps but I was checking out the gallery so I'm gonna butt in...hehe it's Chitrangada! You can check out all the episodes of Mahabharat Katha on youtube Janaki, if you're strongly inclined to watch...(Satyabhama is actually kind of OK for once!), but they should have renamed it Arjun's marriage katha lol

Oh, so this is from Mahabharat Katha? I thought Arjun looked a bit older than usual.😆 I watched a few episodes of it that Lola posted in another thread...it looks okay. Who played Satyabhama here?

My favorite Satyabhama in all mytho serials is the one from Ramanand Sagar's Shri Krishna. She was really into character and was haughty without seeming disrespectable or overbearing👏, like lots of mythos tend to portray her. Actually, I like Rukmini, Jambavathi, and Satyabhama from SK, they were all perfectly chosen for their roles! Did you ever see SK?

Res for catch up but until then lemme weigh in on the current convo... Vicky, lol @ MB Katha being renamed "Arjun's vivah yaatra" 😆 it really was, and when it wasn't it was more like a postwar train of apologies... I really enjoyed the Ghatotkach- Maurvi track and Karn's love story (though the fact that they gave his wife the wrong name made me doubt it's authenticity)... apart from that, the cast was the only reason to watch IMO... And Janu, fully agree about SK's rani trio and satyabhama in particular. She was able to convey that subtle pride without seeming like a spoiled brat, and the parts where she tearfully tells Krishna that she only acts as she does because she loves him are so well enacted, that you almost sympathize with her... There's one scene in particular that I'm thinking of, will send you the link in hopes of a future pic update ;) Coincidentally, the same actress also had a part in MB Katha - as either Uloopi's mom or stepmom, I don't remember...

To match our current conversation, I'm posting a pic update of Krishna and the trio. This cute scene takes place right before the tulaabharam, when Narad pretends to consider Krishna his servant by 'forcing' him to make him chutney. Falling for the trap, Satyabhama feels remorse that she is the reason for her husband's condition, and asks Rukmini for help. Though her pride has been more than half broken by now, Rukmini and Krishna believe that her materialism must also be destroyed, so they continue with their drama and Rukmini begs Narad to release her husband from his service. She says that Krishna is not only Satyabhama's. He belongs to her and Jambavathi also, so Satyabhama cannot give him away without their permission (I suppose this was an indirect jab at her, since we see Satyabhama kind of wincing when Rukmini and Jambavathi say this😆). Rukmini tastes Krishna's supposed chutney and makes a face, because it is nothing more than mashed grass.🤣 Narad then tells them that Satyabhama can win Krishna back if she can measure his weight on a scale. He will take the measured object and return Krishna to his wives.
