I think that whatever incident the person chooses as their vantage point, they can reflect on anything that happened before (unless they are trikaal darshi characters like Narad, then special privileges as you said). For example, VD at garbhstuti can express the change in their spirits compared to the tragedies before. Yashoda, after Janmashtami, can think back to her baby shower and express the joy of becoming a mom after so many years of wishing. However this is not an autobiography so no "mere saath yeh hua, phir yeh hua. We can go ahead and react to a couple of incidents but not simply restate them. The main objective of the diary entry is to express the character's FEELINGs, not to reiterate the FACTs of the story. How's that 🤓
