Your humbly mahaan hosts are back again, this time with the pairings for our "Govinda Aala Re" Janmashtami contest... below is a list of the characters who will be represented in your entries, along with a token number. Match the token numbers here with the one you are about to receive via PM, and you will know which character you are working on with whom as your teammate!

Once you receive the PM revealing your character and teammate, you may begin working on your entry. A few things to keep in mind:

- The deadline for submitting your entries is August 18th - exactly 1 week from now! Submit it to the following username, along with your token number as listed above: mythomaniacs
- If you are registered for two characters, you will notice that you are paired with two different teammates. If this is the case and you are a writer, you need not come up with two different diary entries for Lord Vishnu to satisfy the first part of the written contest. You may submit the same one twice since you will have other characters to write for as well. Similarly if you are a siggiemaker, you may decide whether to create two different "Happy Janmashtami" sigs from devotional pics, or to submit the same one on behalf of both teams of which you are a part.
Even if you happen to be on two teams, DO NOT tell one teammate about your other partner and/or submission, as we want to maintain anonymity for the scoring. If the secrets are compromised and we find out... Deeps and I will... 😈🤣
- While the videos provided on the first page (Janmashtami and Nandotsav episodes of SK and JSK) may help you get ideas for your submission, you may feel free to refer to other episodes from either serial if find your character's reactions in them more inspiring. It need not be a reaction to the events of Janmashtami themselves, and can concern something as far back as the preparation for his birth to his naming ceremony afterwards. So long as your character is reflecting on an event after the Aakashwani and nothing that occurs after Krishna's infant stage, you are SAFE 😉
- Once all submissions are received, we will post them anonymously in order for you all to score them. You will give marks to each entry except for your own, grading each one on a scale of 1-5 in each of these categories:
creativity - how unique and skillful is the presentation of the character's feelings?
emotional appeal - how well do the siggie and diary entry make you empathize with the character?
coordination - how well does the sig reflect what's expressed in the entry, and vice versa (to score high in this category you MUST keep in touch with your teammate to ensure the work matches!)
Once we receive the scores, we will total them and declare 4 winning teams - one for each of the above categories and one "best overall" which got the highest total number of points.
