Dunno of the marriages since I am rather irregular with this serial, but Krishna met Pandavas in Draupadi's Swayamvar in RS Krishna. I watched that episode.😊
BTW, has anyone watched Peter Brook's Mahabharata?? Its different in many ways from the popular version of the stories that we are used to and perhaps that's why too many Indians do not like it, but I found it brilliant in terms of acting, presentation and script. Bruce Myers is my favourite Krishna along with Nitish Bharadwaj.😳
I watched it. I rented a DVD, which was pretty poor quality, and the video store didn't have a second that I could use, so that the last part of it - the killing of Karna and beyond - I couldn't see.
Anyway, I saw it, and Peter Brooke, like BRC, took too many liberties w/ this serial by giving it all some bizzaro meanings, which nobody could imagine coming from the likes of Vyasa. For instance, the people in the Mahabharat were not ancestors to the rest of mankind, as the movie seemed to suggest, particularly @ the end when the showed the kid who heard the story from Ganesh & Vyasa bowing to Uttara as his ancestress.
Also, the movie made a mess of certain things, like showing Ghatotkacha killed on day 1 of the war, which totally robbed it of its meaning. Abhimanyu's killing in this movie reminded me of the killing of Petrocleus by Hector in the movie Troy.
I didn't like the movie for those reasons. But I don't share some of the criticisms that were directed @ it, such as Kunti, Madri & Karna being black. Incidentally, Mallika Sarabhai looked totally out of place in this movie, given its Western cast.
