i just saw the Mahabharat promo on starplus...

is saheer sheikh playing arjun's role?

Does anybody know whether any serial/movie in any language has ever actually covered the Yadava fratricide, and the deaths of Krishna & Balarama? I know that in both BRC as well as RS-SK, they showed Gandhari curse Krishna, and in RS-SK, they showed Krishna, in his farewell message after the defeat of Banasura, tell the devas/Narada that he needed to see to the destruction of the Yadavas before he returned.

This thing has never got to me. It's well known that the Yadavas were defeated, and that Krishna was shot achilles style in the heel, and after consoling and blessing Jara, he died. The Mahabharata had it that the devas took him back to Vaikuntha, which is why Arjun could never find his body, while SB has it that Arjun did find his body, and that all his wives committed sati (in MB, only most of them did, not all)

So why don't serials show this? I understand that they can't show the sati part, but the rest - the massacres of the Yadavas by each other, and Krishna getting killed - that they can show. So have there ever been any shows that did show it?

But I think I saw one show once, while switching channels..

It was some Jai Jagannath or something, where Krishna was lying on the ground with arrow in foot, and Arjuna was fighting with Jara.😕

I think BRC Mahabharat ended with Yudishtira's speech and coronation, and DGK going to forest...

And I have another question, not connected to the above.

Why hardly anyone posts on this forum?

I mean, most ofthe topics are same as last 1 - 1 and a half week...

In BRC, DGVK agree to stay after persuasion by Draupadi. In the real story, they remained in Hastinapur for 15 years out of the 36. In RS-SK, they did show Yudhisthir's Ashwamedha yagna, DGVK going into exile and ultimately all perishing, and at that point, they show Krishna taking leave of the Pandavas after consoling them. (That part wasn't accurate, since Krishna's last contact w/ the Pandavas was the Ashwamedha yagna, after which he left them for good)

This forum has sometimes seen good activity, but most of the regulars are busy & rarely visit. I do drop in at times to see if anything's new.
