Yes, Shravan is not in any of these pictures. He updated his FB status 15 hrs ago, means he was eliminated on monday and this one was shot today.

Btw, Durga Jasraj uploaded some videos that these 7 contestants met with Pandit Jasraj. Shravan is there and this happened today!!

How could they know even before the voting takes place? that means it's pre-planned!!

😲 What! shocking, he was the best in Indian Idol. 😭 I wonder how do even votes count; apart from of course people giving regionalism, good looks more importance to right contestant 🥱 I realy hope, he can come back. if not, I hope he still makes it big, looking at Indian Idol's track record where more than winners most of the times other contestants have been successful in the long run. (with the exception of Abhijeet Sawant to some extent).
P.S.: Completely distrust reality shows these days. Sony used to be fair once upon a time. Now, seems it has also learned other channels' tricks. These days no result seems just based on votes and most of the times channel opinion counts more seemingly.

I think it was fair. Clearly Shravan has lesser fans and that he got lesser votes is no surprise.

Of course losing a talent like him is indeed sad. But blaming everything on the channel is being harsh. In bringing Manya back, they clearly had a hand since no audience was involved.

Depends on what you mean by "fair". It's certainly not fair that Shravan has been eliminated. Its also not fair that he has "fewer fans".
He clearly had the judges' approval. And I did see a lot of support for him here on this forum. If the results are meant to be a mix of judges' votes and audience votes, how could he have been the one to go? What percent of the judges' vote count? Do they count at all? If yes, why are we not shown numbers? Where is the transparency? When everything is happening behind the scene and we are just told of the end result, it is hard to accept that it's all honest and aboveboard! That is why the finger-pointing at the channel!
When they can repeat sob stories ad nauseum and promote only those contestants who they think "sell" and get then TRPs, why cannot they manipulate the results?
I'm sorry but I will believe that the results are "fair" only when I have actual proof of it!

Not everyone appreciates the same style of music. So someone having fewer fans can't be unfair. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
While based on talent Shravan should've stayed, but audience votes play an important part in Indian idol. Unfortunately not enough fans voted for him.
He has the judges approval, but we don't know his scores or whether he was rated number 2,3 or 7 by the judges. There is a possibility even at number 2 if he got the fewest audience votes, while someone rated 7 by judges got the highest votes, his being eliminated could be fair.

I'm not commenting on whether Sony is fair or not, but we can't blame the channel without proof.

I definitely don't enjoy the sob stories or unnecessary drama, but that's what probably sells. And the channel is obviously looking at their bottom line, can't blame them for that.

Having said that, I'm really sad to see Shravan go so soon. To be honest, i knew he wouldn't win, but he's left to soon.

I'm not trying to get into an argument with anyone, though I foresee some of my comments being blown out of proportion. I don't mean to target anyone. Just stating what I think.

And with that I'm not going to get into any conversation regarding this.

Spot on! I would blame the channel, again and time again!! The way things took place lately, a clear indication of channel being involved in exluding him. I have been saying this for some time now. shravan wasn't shown in the promos. They put up number of teasers in a week, none of them featured Shravan, and subsequently he was given less screen space in the episodes.

Where on earth this could happen, eliminating someone who has been so consistent from the very first episode? This should be a popularity contest, rather than the talent.

I also didn't expect him to win. But him going out this soon, especially immediately after Manya, reeks of unfairness. In fact, stinks!
I don't think any comments are being blown out of proportion here. Its people expressing their disillusion and anger, and like you say, everyone is entitled to feel what they want to feel, without being told what to feel.
And Shravan wasn't only about one style. He may have been strong in classical but he tried several genres, which is more than I can say for some of the other contestants currently still there , who stick to their safety nets.
The channel maybe looking after its own interests, but then they shouldn't claim that this is a reality show aimed at drawing out real talent. What sells is what they perceive sells and want to make sell. Its the choice between good packaging and a good product. Its an easy choice for me.

You are free to disagree and I am free to vent.

And with that, I end my bit on this conversation too!

its not fair to see shravan go especially after a great performance. Based on talent, he deserves so much better than some so called professional singers, no offence.

Next time if you guys wants to participate in reality show, please make sure you cook up some sob stories and plan that with your family and friends or do some cosmetic surgery so that you look like a movie hero or heroine.

If you don't like shravan is fine, but to say it's fair to get him eliminated it's just not reasonable. I would blame the channel for less promotion and secondly the audience who couldn't appreciate real talents.

Anyways all the best to shravan, this is not the end of the world, his music is here to stay...
