So the judges &/or the channel have decided that Manya Narang was deserving of another chance to have the public vote her in or out and brought her back into the Top 9. I, for one, am decidedly not in favor of this decision. Manya scores on her looks and perhaps her voice, but falls flat on every other criteria, especially her ability to lift higher notes. I think sometimes she even falters in the simplest of refrains and she totally murdered "rangeela re" 😃.
I think there were so many others, particularly from the audition rounds, that were more deserving. Here's a list of some of the better singers, please add your own favorites if I have missed any.
1. Santosh Hariharan
2. Karthik
3. Rahul Deb
4. Arif or was it Asif???, the guy from Mumbai with the African girlfriend😃
5. His partner in the theater round, I forget his name, they were both so good, Farah even commented that she was touched by their singing,
6. Soumya
Any of these, IMO, would be more deserving than Manya. Your thoughts?
