| Javed Akhtar was recently approached by a channel to host a tv show along with a fun anchor who also shares his name. According to sources close to the famed lyricist, the channel came to him with a budget which he laughed at. "Javedsaab told the channel guys that the offer they gave him for the entire show of 13 episodes was good enough for just for one episode. The people from the channel were stunned," says the well informed source. Akhtar asked the channel to pay him Rs 10 lakh per episode. "He told the channel that the said anchor also indulged in a lot of toilet humour and hence it would be a step down for him if he did the show. the money, Javedsaab explained, was to compensate for the compromise." www.deccan.com |
