Darjeeling (Nepali:) is a town in the Indian state of West Bengal.

I think everyone needs to chill down, this ain't battle ground. Nepal is a separate country (though extremely close to India). Darjiling, Siliguri and other hilly areas are parts of India. People living there are Indians.

People who live in Nepal are "Nepalese", and those who live in India are "Indians"...shouldn't be too difficult to understand.

It isn't so simple...national boundaries were defined decades ago. They can't be changed now. We have respect their sanctity.

Why are we all bickering among ourselves. He is what he is...i.e. an Indian. His national identity overrides his regional identity...we can be Bengalis, Punjabis, Tamils, Marathis, Telugus, Manipuris, Nepalis etc but at the end of day we are all Indians.
