I don't know if you wld agree. I have seen him judge some competitions in south and he was wonderful as ajudge and so encouraging and giving tips to the singers to improve.

I think the reason they don't use singers from the South is because they are not that popular. Anu, Javed, Udit and recently even Alisha are popular people, hence, got to judge. Personally, I would like Sonu, VS/Shankar Mahadevan and Sunidhi/Shreya/Alka. I think a music director, male and female singer are enough. Dictions and pronunciation classes can always be taken later, so don't see the point of a lyricist.

udit jee doesnot act like freaking anu and javed doesnot mean that he is not good

he is the best one there, he is very very fair to everyone and never hurts anyone. he doesnot do any drama there

Yah and the show would become popular in southern India if they have one judge from south and they can also have some south indian contestants on the show- Sony will make more money if the votes will pour from south. Though such attempts failed in past even when hariharan was a judge on saregama ek mai ek tu with some south indian contestants gettting elimiated at first.

Yah, he doesn't freak out on the show but when I listen to his traces of passing good judgement (Does he judge at all?) I freak out, feel like pulling my hair when he tries to communicate. He might be the best singer in the industry but either a very poor communicator or a person gifted in music but underachieved in rest, sorry but thats the impression he gives me.

To me the best judge is who is fair, critical and communicates well. Agree Anu M is aggressive but thats a personality trait, not a shortcoming of a judge. He is the best judge for me, he appreciates the positives and points out the negatives, yah, he has his flaws but who doesn't?

anu is the best judge. he says right thing..........

Fairness? Kindly enlighten me. I think he is not fair because of the fact that he doesn't dare to be critical. When he tries its so but obvious that he doesn't know what to say and look at others for approval.

I think the judging panel should be of more music directors, because ultimately it them they who give a chance to singers.

Javed Akhtar is only a lyricist.... and I wonder who really ask a lyricist who should sing what kind of songs? 😕
