To original poster .... Very well written. Such fab satire is hard to find these days...

whats so funny about those lines? I just don't get it! Ridiculing such talented and reputed seniors is now considered light humor? Why?Just coz he said a couple of harsh words to some kid who has been on a reality show for like 3 months now?

Classical Satirists

The satiric styles of two Roman poets, Horace and Juvenal, became models for writers of later ages. Misconception of satire

Because satire often combines anger and humour it can be profoundly disturbing - because it is essentially ironic or sarcastic, it is often misunderstood.

Common uncomprehending responses to satire include revulsion (accusations of poor taste, or that it's "just not funny" for instance), to the idea that the satirist actually does support the ideas, policies, or people he is attacking.

For instance, at the time of its publication, many people misunderstood Swift's purpose in "A Modest Proposal" – assuming it to be a serious recommendation of economically-motivated cannibalism.

Some critics of Mark Twain see Huckleberry Finn as racist and offensive while others claim it is one of the most powerful anti-racist works ever written.

I did enjoy another view penned by Kapil especially increasing the judges panel to more female count!

The blame should go to the content director who 'storyboarded' the script and instructed the judges to comment like that. And gosh..JA imitating Gulzar ? Height of offence !!

ah well...it was just another aspect to look at!we all respect JA...but do u agree tht he was right in he wht did???u can say ankita is good...favour her...be partial to her...but to demoralise emon?????????now he never found these faults in emon before...till the last 2 galas what was he doing till now???counting the mosquitoes in the studios???? 😕

ok...if u say,he has his own opinion.....why doesnt he stick to it??once he said ankita shd go....and emon is talented....now he says he imitates sonu.why didnt he mention this b4??

so keeping these points in mind...the author of this post has brought a satire....and i agree!gulzar is a gr8 lyricist....and JA is also a wonderful writer.both r the best....its just a satire to show tht tho thr r many in this field...u cnt crush anyone's dreams with such harsh words.
