Ankita & Neha

i'm not comparing them

but after watching yesterday's episode i felt like neha and ankita have some common interests

1. performance

2. poor singing

3. other than item songs they know only bhajans.

well for neha i cant say she improved or not..coz audience didnt even give her a chance..she had only two gala's i think.

but ankita had 10 gala's so her improvement was seen more than neha..

i think neha is amazing in herown way..very confident..so is anki

Actually that is kind of harsh. I think Ankita on both ocassions sang Bhajans because she wanted to get blessings of God and because it was close to her heart. I dont' think she did it just because she only knew Bhajans. I mean when she left got eliminated today, she could easily have sung an item song, but she just sang what was close to her heart.😭

That was rude. I'm sure most of the contestants on Idol would love to be half as good as a performer like Ankita, but they can't. So I'm sure they all share that, leaving that aside.

Ankita was not at all a "poor" singer. And she did tonnes more than item songs. I'm so sick of this term, it gets to me. She sang "Kaise Paheli", "Suraj Hua Madham", "Phir Bhi Dil Hai...." they aren't "item" numbers.

Just because Ankita & Neha don't have sickeningly, sugary sweet vocals, doesn't mean they are "poor" singers.

You could also say the same about Emon. Other than Sonu Nigam numbers, he rarely does anything.

the fact that neha n ankita arent gr8 singers has nothing to do with the fact that they dont have sugary sweet voice...i dont think u need to have a sugary voice to be a gr8 singer...that is defintiely not the criteria...

both are very average singers because they are technically not sound...

Unfortunately, that does seem to be the case---according to singers such as Usha Uthup & Shubha Mudgal. The former wrote an article about that.

i agree with manali. i'd like to add sunidhi chauhan doesnt have sugary voice and yet she is the most popular female singer today and she is singing all sorts of songs in films. eliminatd contestant who couldnt make to the galas like vanita, harshida were technically better singer than ankita and they didnt have "sickeningly" sugary sweet voice or ayesha syed who was by far one of the best singers of indian idol 3 had a heavy voice and she was a great singer not a sugary voice again

if ankita had sung that phir bhi dil hai,suraj hua good i wont be mentioning her as poor singer.
she dint give justice to that songs.

well they do have similarities which is they loved to perform but i think neha's singing was much better than ankita's.can't avoid the face ankita was improving tremendiously.
