Here in India, its all about Filmy Music. Naresh Iyer got his NA for a Film song and not a pop-album.

For us Amit is one of the Tops in II-3. Infact when compared to other Music shows, its only Emon and Amit who are the stars of II-3 and comparable who may have longevity (if any). Others will only have 15 minutes of fame. Amit makes his mark for his voice quality, and Emon for his trained voice.

You echoed my thoughts.

There is a limited market now but that doesn't mean it can't be changed. If people like Ankita, who have a huge fan base given a chance can create a whole new industry themseleves if they believe in their dreams. Problem is the huge resistance such people face, and they end up surrendering. So you never see their albums going out.

Putting Amit with Emon in the category of good singers is a total injustice in my opinion to any of the good singers. Amit is a Mediocre singer who is hyped nothing else. The way he sang today, he wouldn't even have qualified for the auditions of some other competitions going on totally focused on singing.

I don't think that any other singer on II3 has the potential as of now to grace the stage of just singing based competitions going on, on some other channels than Emon.

as far as amit is consult..! everyone has different taste.!jahan tak sur ki baat hai to ya may be 19..20.. huey honge sur..! but it was still fabulous...! emon ke bhi huey thay..he also got stuck in the mid i guess..!

I am not bashing him. And I don't hate Amit or want to put him down. He definitely has a charming personality but I donno, people praise him that much on this board and whenever I listen to him, I listen with a very positive frame of mind to see if I could relate to all those people but everytime his voice doesn't appeal me.

The only time I said Amit you rock was when he sang pahla nasha. But that time also I was a bit skeptical on his consistency. I don't doubt the choice of people who like Amit but I happen to have a different taste it seems.

but according to most of the ppl including Javed Akhter and Sonu Nigam, Amit has a very very good,heart touching voice...Javed Akhter even said that his voice is unique and the best amongst all contestants...
it is said that Amit's voice is his own...means that its unique n nobudy has a voice like him...his voice is a blend of Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi..
It was not his fans or supporters saying this..it was written in some articles and was said by experts!

ohkk....see i kinda agree that the song he chose was not much fitting to his voice...i cant say much bout sur coz i hav not listened to "maeri" much....but itz right that his singing was not interestin me today as much it did b4....plz note i am comparing him wid himself....so maybe in that comparison he was not as fabulous as he used to be....but definitely i can say he didnt spoil the song.....not at all.

emon was the best then amit then puja and then the rest. I really don't agree that amit spoiled the song but he sang it in his own unique style. Chang didn't sing as well as the others.

Chang was good wid the song but certainly not better than the original neither was he the best yesterday!!!The song suited Chang....he sang it good but at certain places he lost his sur...again I'd say the same thing...If u have heard the original song...or if u hav heard any song by Faakhir, u wud know that Faakhir has a punch in his voice which Chang completely lacked!! It was the best performance by Chang of all his previous performances...but it wasnt the best amongst other contestant's perfromances!!Chang was good...but certainly not the best nore was he better than the original!
