well most of teh judges did say that he wasnt completely on sur....but styl it was nice...

i think most of the praise was after he sang the other languages songs....which did deserve praise....but they shud have made him sing after all the comments....

Amit is a fabulous singer that's why judges dint say any thing against him yesterday.

but he always lose sur when he sings low notes.

that what was happend with swadesh Mukda and mayire mukda

he has to take care of his low notes

I would like to hear Emon sing better than amit this song? Amit has no formal trainning yet he choses the toughest songs there is. Emon won't be able to go to the low notes amit sang. Amit sang with the feel of the song which i felt was more than what could be said of the others other than puja.
Amit wasn't as good as the original but he sang with his own style. gave it a very husky feel. i enjoyed it a lot.

I totally agree. Amit wasn't that great at all and the judges kept praising him...specially Anu. He really wants Amit to win..He will praise him no matter what..I think Janta should stop listening to his comments..He is not a good judge at all..

He totally spoiled it, probably judges caught that as I haven't listened to their comments. I have heard this song n no of times and he wasn't even 50% close to the original.

Chang was the best today in his singing closely followed by Pooja and then Emon. Amit was more close to the way Prshant and Ankita sang today but as his song was more teda meda then what these two sang, he can be rated ahead of them as far as singing goes. I personally don't think that Ankita sang that bad as the comments she got today. Sonu sounded totally biased against her for some reason.

actually...u know wat!that song of euphoriya is one of my favorites...and like u, I have heard that song uncountable no of times.....both by euphoria as well as many others who try to sing it....and I really think Amit sang it brilliantly!!!!Its such a difficult song...and Amit sang it so well!!!!!especially, the high notes!!!! I luved it wen Amit sang those high notes.....coz usually wen singers sing this song, their voices become so thin and ear piercing in the high notes.....but Amit was FABULOUS!!

I am not a Fakhir fan really....of all his dozens and dozens of songs, I luv only a few of them....Chang was good wid the song....he has definitely improved....the song suited him...but he definitely lost his sur in some lines....secondly, Chang lacked the punch that Fakhir has in his voice!Chang sang it good..i wud say...I liked it...actually, i've never really liked any of Chang's performances..but this one was good..but not outstanding and surely not better than the original!

You say that Amit was close to Prashant and Ankita!!!!!! well, i think Ankita was not close to ANYONE !!!!!!!Ankita was the worst yesterday! And I completely completely agree wid wat Sonuji said to her!!! She definitely lost sur and everything....was more concerned of her performance rather than singing!!! Next comes Prashant, well i liked his singing alot!! Prashant definitely sang it really really well!! Prashant usually sings slow soft songs but this one was different...and he did it really welll!! I am looking forward to see Prashant singing some fast n high pitch songs in the future too!!As for Amit, I think he ws the BEST!! He was awesome wid the song...which is again a difficlt song...

CoolSonu, Thats purely your opinion and I won't say that I am putting your perspective, I just wanted to say what I felt.

I am not a singer but hear and enjoy all types of songs and all kinds of music. So far I haven't been impressed by Amit except Pahla Nasha but at times I totally got lost in Emon's singing. Puja is good at times in songs that suits her voice and she sang really good but not better or close to the original at all. Amit was miles behind from the orginal and that difference was remarkably noticeable at least to me.

As far as Ankita is concerned, she has the potential I feel and a unique voice. She loses at times because show's format/script demands her performance but I truly believe that she can be a rock-star (not a playback singer mind you) I want her to be on the front of the stage not behind. Now lets see if she believes in herself or not.

I don't like Prshant's voice quality, reminds me of Kumar Sanu which I wasn't a huge fan of to speak the truth- no offense. His personality is very blend and in sur also he needs to improve a lot. So I don't see a reason for him to be Indian Idol. Chang on the other hand sang beautifully well today, I haven't heard the original but I thouroughly enjoyed his song.

Seperate note, I don't understand all the chutter-putter about playback singing. Why does an Idol needs to be a playback singer only? Why can't one be a rock-star, a stage performer, one who could sing as well as dance to his own numbers in his albums and rock the nation as well? To be frank I wouldn't tune to II3 if I just want to listen and not view, I have my own favorites I can tune to when it comes to just singing competitions, both on radio as well as on TV.

Alas, there is a very limited market for bands and rock star in india!!!!Indian music industry does not function as in the west where a reality TV's star's albums are Billboard Tops and even wins Grammy. Chris Daughtry did not win, but made his mark in AI and today his albums are selling like hot cake.

Here in India, its all about Filmy Music. Naresh Iyer got his NA for a Film song and not a pop-album.

My personal opinion is... Amit is one of the Tops in II-3. Infact when compared to other Music shows, its only Emon and Amit who are the stars of II-3 and comparable who may have longevity (if any). Others will only have 15 minutes of fame. Amit makes his mark for his voice quality, and Emon for his trained voice.
