Actually sony is not the offical sponser. sony is having a different set of programmes for independents day. and they are probebly not going to show this on tv at all cos sony has very little to do with it. they were first going to show it but for security reasons decided not to show it. so they are obviously not the media patners for the occation. I think a concert as big as this is not going to be covered only by sony. so i don't think amit and deepali were picked cos they are from sony.

Deeps nd amit performing on the 14th
guys and girls.....tomorrow amit and deepali will be performing with AR Rehman at 11 pm at the wagah border....hosts of the show r Juhi Chawla and Shahrukh Khan on the indian side.....this is a step to bring the two nations close together....this news was published in "The Sentinel" which is a leading newspaper in north east India.

amit and deepali were chosen by AR Rehman himself.

I agree with you ManaliS....the same happens in Film Fare Awards where they ask II ppl to sing...anyways, thats not the pint here.....its a damn good news and we should remember that they would not have been chosen if they were not good singers..
