During last gala I thought Prashant was best among the contestants.. and he was the last one...

Amit,Parleen,Abhishek or Jolly who ever sang last gave the best performer/singer of the day, is it because the last contestant gets opportunity to sit back and observe others mistake or he/she wl be more relaxed by the time their turn comes??

Kavita ji, good observation.
I think the same was also true in some II2 episodes.
Also, the contestant who sings last is rarely eliminated.

also i think that ppl dont always tune into the show exactly at the time it is aired so they always miss the beginning performances

I had made a comment about the same some time back in some thread. I believe when they rehearse the production decides to put the best two singers of that evening as first and last. That is why in most cases first and last renditions are good.

Even in shows it is a criteria which is followed and that is they save best for the last and also put another good one first to keep the interest in the show.

Still I think Prashant was flat at so many places last night. So he was not the best.
