Prashant was flat which was very evident in the song. He lack classical base which was very evident today in the harkatein.
Javed Akhtar was right.

Prashant was not the best today, he has never been the best, just given a good performance last week and one this week. He needs to work harder. Deepali, Emon, and Amit were the best.

don't judge based from the beginig....gala is about recent performance..

unlike previous, this time...prashant is at least in competation with so called more hyped and good singers like deepali and emon.

So Prashant goes marching on. Poor Javedjee! Indian public have fallen in love with Prashant. What to say now Javed saab? 'gaana dil ko chhuwa hai phir bhi achhi nahin hai' hahaha. gaana dil ko chhuta hai, isi liye to public phone uthake vote bhejte hai na!
He has sang everybody: Shankar Mahadevan, Amir Jamal, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Kunal Ganjawala, Kumar Sanu, Zubin Garg, hafaqat Ali Khan, and even Kishore Kumar in the duets. The only time he flopped was with Aye Ajnabi. So he's one step near. Hopefully he will sing even better and the public will continue loving him.

I am very sad for Deepali though. It should have been Ankita this time or Chang. But what to do? Her fans were either too lazy to make calls or too greedy to spend money. But hopefully she will be a famous playback singer someday. My wishes are with the graceful lady.

Prashant is only good compared to himself. Even Udit Ji said according to his standards it was OK. He is less deserving of the title then Deepali, Amit, Emon and Puja. Can you name one gala/piano round in which he managed to outcompete the others and be the best?
