Emon and Amit

i humbly disagree, Amit a pleasant voice only? you call amit's excellent voice quality and control pleasant? i call it god given talent.
Amit and Emon both have talent and low points.
Amit's talent is his amazing voice and feel and stage presence his minus point is that he forgets his lines and gets nervous and technically is not a perfect singer(due to lack of classical training)
Emon's talent is his amazing singing and technically perfect voice modulation but his failings are he has artificial singing and on the very high notes his voice gets a bit of squeak to it.
Amit can sing the low deep notes to perfection and emon can sing high range notes to perfection. Amit is down to earth, innocent and has a simple personality while Emon is fun loving, sweet and a prankster.
Both have their pluses and minuses but you can't say amit is a far better contender for the Indian idol cos both are equally deserving.
I would be happy if any of them won but I have a special place in my heart for amit cos I love his voice in to madness but I would never say emon is worse than him. They are different but equals. So who you support is up to you but don't bring amit down to put emon in a pedestal. This is with due respect to the thread starter. [/QUOTE

very well said...and i feel that emon still has a little bit of tht kiddish voice in himself...which obviously will improve but as of now...amit is the one with the greatest voice and personality...and emon is also veri close

I feel Emon is the best singer in Indian Idol, noone even miles closer to him. As far as Amit paul is concerened , he has a pleasant melodious voice but that doesn't make him worth comparing with Emon. Amit has a long way to go in his singing to compete with Emon, however he is the second best in the remaining males and compete with Emon beacuse of his personality adding on to it.
