As for the poster who started this, Amit's 9 was enough to tell anyone that the poster had prejudged performances even before witnessing them. Even if Prashant, Deepa, and Ankita had given performances that had gotten standing Os, this poster would still have given them 6s and 7s. SO, as is the case with reading personal opinion, take it with a grain of salt or in Maya's case a salt-mine if you can manage it.

Deepali sang Mera Piya ghar aaya and nimbooda and performed well espcially in mera piya ghar aaya without losing sur. So Ankita is not the only one who can perform. In the end we are not looking for someone who can dance and sing. We are looking for someone who can sing brilliantly and connect with the audience.

Dude! This isn't about singling anyone out but mentioning that nobody besides Amit has really been flawless vocally. They have all had moments where they have gone offkey, flat and have been inconsistent when it comes to vocals. The thing is that Ankita has the "Performer" label on her, and because one aspect of her performance dominates the other, it doesn't mean that she doesn't stand tall on the other. As for Deepa, I am one of her biggest fans and am sick of all the attacks on poor Deepa and Ankita on this site.

As for Maya, we agree to disagree. I am pretty sure Maya's a great person, and like any other normal person maybe swerved by favoritism. And favoritism is exactly the thing thats pushing me to defend Ankita, and this favoritism thing carries you away just like Maya giving Amit a 9, and me stationing myself on the defensive because my favorite's getting bashed.

I didn't start this thread to bash contestants. It was a genuine attempt to know if songs were really folk😛 and I have had some good discussions with some of the members who posted earlier.😉

It is not my fault that you were not there when I rated Ankita high and argued for 7 pages with a member for that contestant. It is my personal view and I didn't know my ratings mattered to you that much that you have decided to warn members. You are funny. 😆

Yes. I was confused about folk songs. Read some good articles on that.
