Chang...can he make it?

He has a great personality...he has shown he can perform...he has the most unique and beautiful quality of voice...he hasnt really been out of sur in the songs that he has rendered... he has got good comments from all Judges but still he doesnt seem to be the top contender...atleast not on the forum...

So for those you think he cant get to the top...what do you think is stopping him???

• There are better singers than him
• He is not trained and it shows
• He is already a professional and isnt likely to pursue a singing career
• Her hasnt been given too much footage by Sony

Chang is the one I love most in this competition but I also realize his limitations. I'm sure he can make it to the top 5 with hard work but whether he should go further than that will only depend on his and others' performances from now on. Personally I find Emon and Amit technically better than him and Prashant in almost the same league as Chang since both of them are untrained and that shows in their renditions too. Basically Chang being not the top singer boils down to your second point. Yes, there are others better than him but he'd have been able to counter that better had he been a trained singer. But where personality and looks are also taken into consideration then he's already one of the topmost.

On the footage front, I had no complaints earlier. He was given the right amount of coverage in the initial days but now-a-days he could do with some more.

With each passing day, there seems to be an increasing unpredictability in trends. At first , Emon seemed to be almost the common favorite to win the title but now people's opinions seem to be changing and these ups and downs'll remain so as far as the competition goes.


Btw, this is irrelevant but just to take into account the varying favorites everywhere, Chang seems to be the most popular on orkut considering his fan clubs have the most number of people there but orkut is mostly joined by a certain group of people and one cannot judge their popularity only by that.

regarding the footage by Sony...actually what prompted me to make this post is a news item which was about a press conference on II where Sony had presented Parleen, Emon and Deepali to the press...made me wonder if the channel has already decided to promote the potential winners, and if yes...why Chang was not there!

PS.u didnt comment about Abhishek...he is a strong contender too isnt he???

Hmm.. Can't deny some of your points. He do sound shaky sometime but still he has a magic in his voice. He may not be the best, but still he is ruling the show and competing with the trained ones and becoming equally as good as them. Whether he wins or loses he will be always remembered as CUTE CHANG with the MAGICAL Voice which always made my heart gose BOOM BOOM and DHOOM!!!!

He just have to be confident and try to work on the shakiness of his voice. Other then tht he is a complete pakage. 👏

Totally agree with the highlighted part...he seems a lil nervous all the time...as if he hasnt rehearsed enough...and he seems to modest and unaware of his own strenghts...!!

I dunno y but I ddon't like Chang very much...I mean he is a good singer..but his voice doesnt touch my heart..Acc to me, there are better singers than Chang.....I personally like Prashant, Amit and Emon more than Chang..but he has a lot of potential..He just needs to find out where he is going wrong...and try to rectify that! I am sure he can reach top 5 if puts in more effort! 😊

hey yaar chang is he really has that peace in his voice...i see most of the janta is fida on him so i think he will make it to top 5 as per he being untrained than even others are also untrained.

I too think his voice stands out...it is the most unique voice of II... there are so many voices like Emon, Parleen and Abhishek...even Amit and prashant but Chang is not a clone of any one!

In that respect even Ankita has a unique husky voice so both of them bring something special to the table!

Is that what they did? I don't understand why 😕 That's kinda unfair to all others. And Emon and Deepali I can even understand as potential winners if that was their intention but Parleen? I thought Prashant and Chang were more popular than him ( Yeah I know he seems very popular mostly among the girls of IF but over all Chang and Prashant are probably more popular) and currently I find him the weakest among boys though that opinion might change. I don't get this press conference thingy at all.

Refrained from commenting on him because I have never liked him personally and didn't want to sound biased. Abhishek has emerged to be a good singer but looking at past winners of II tells me public goes very much for looks too, he lacks in that department and therefore doesn't seem to be that strong a contender but you never know, he's also technically good after all and may surprise us all with an unexpected victory.
