The Indian Idol fever has died down. So what's happening with Abhijeet Sawant? With his debut album doing reasonably well and a few projects already in his kitty we thought it's the perfect time to take stock before we move on.

And what better way to do that with the final verdict coming from our music maestros. Here's what they say.

Shankar Mahadevan:
"His voice is pretty fresh but quite often he subconsciously imitates many existing playback singers. He needs to address this issue and I'm sure with time he'll gradually rise."
I give Abhijeet: 6/10

Aadesh Srivastava:
"He's not promoted that well and I've not heard him much. He needs to inculcate the originality-factor in his renditions."
I give Abhijeet: 6/10

Sandesh Shandaliya:
"As a new singer he is definitely fresh and doing wonderful for himself. This is just the beginning a lot of factor needs to be taken in to account before passing any judgement. As of now I'm very impressed. "

Himesh Reshamiya:
"He's simply fantastic. He has already recorded with me on two occasions."
I give Abhijeet: 6/10

Ismail Darbar:
"I like his voice and tonal expressions a lot. But he needs to work hard a lot to make it to the big league."
I give Abhijeet: 6/10

Udit Narayan:
"He's good…I must say within a few months time he has achieved fame and money."
I give Abhijeet: 5/10

Sonu Nigam:
"He has made his mark. He's successful and is commanding an incredible. fan following. He's here to stay."
I give Abhijeet: 7/10

Alka Yagnik:
"He has a very soft and silky voice. He seems to be versatile but only time can tell whether he'll be able to survive it. But he definitely has the potential if he gets the right grooming."
I give Abhijeet: 5/10

Sandeep Chowta
"I have not heard of him much but he is a fairly good singer. He is probably under the pressure of living up to the title. He'll definitely do well with more time.
I give Abhijeet: 6.5/10

Shaan:
"I've not heard him that keenly to pass any judgement as such. But I can definitely say if he can play his cards well and work hard towards his goals he'll surely make it big."
