By Eye TV India Bureau
Tete-a-Tete She is one of the most beautiful women of the world, gorgeous indeed! Yes, we are talking about former Miss World Aishwarya Rai. Aish was in national capital for the launch of a new watch collection of Longines and we caught her just for you to know about her wedding plans. Excerpts of her interview: What are your marriage plans? Definitely, this will be an eventuality for sure. God knows the best though. At this time I don't know. At this time of point I really don't know. I leave this at that. . Please say two lines about Abhishek. He is a friend for sure and a fantastic colleague. I have had a fabulous time working with him in all our movies and this year has been a lot fun because we get on so well. It's been great and as professionals we got to play three very different characters, in three very different movies and he is fantastic at what he does, which you have finally acknowledged that he really deserves it. Has Abhishek Bachchan ever played a prank on you? He is just a brat. I don't know about being a prankster. But, he is lot of fun. Since 'Dhai Akshar Prem Ke', we have had a lot of fun all along. Out of 'Umrao Jaan' and 'Dhoom 2' which film did you enjoy more? The fact that they are poles apart makes both the films thoroughly enjoyable because as an actor you get the chance to actually explore diametrically different characters. What is the secret behind your new look in 'Dhoom 2'? Creating a character for sure, because that's something to every secret of mine. But I guess 'Dhoom 2' definitely stands out because in the large part of my career I have played a lot of Indian characters. I think playing a westernized character is different. Obviously, there may have been a bit of head turning in this respect. So, definitely people notice a different Ash. There is been a lot of talk about my physical training. Which stunt did you enjoy the most in 'Dhoom 2'? The one in promo that you see us all jumping off. It was awesome (laughs). It really was trip. It was awesome. Do we watch a bit of Rekha or completely it's Aishwarya in 'Umrao Jaan'? I am delivering a character to my director's satisfaction that's been the effort and in terms of comparisons I do say this again. Honestly, I have been through this path before when I was doing 'Devdas'. Honestly, actors are greedy ; we get very excited when we get to essay the characters, be the characters that have been made before in other languages, be the characters that have been written about, be that historical characters, be they just great characters. It just excites us to explore the opportunity. God bless the director for taking on the pressure and the onus of judgment because it's his baby, it's his vision that he is creating and we as actors are trying to deliver his conception. That's what we are doing here. How much research work has been made for 'Umrao Jaan' character? J P Dutta sa'ab did all the research work (laughs). Tell us about your upcoming projects. In terms of English movies 'Provogue' is ready for release and currently I am going to be starting and completing on 'Jodha Akbar'and 'Sarkar' too. Beyond that there have been announcements and I have been in talks with most people here in the industry, but time will decide. There are scripts from overseas but I will let the time decide because my schedule has already been booked. Are you considering the Hollywood actor Will Smith's script? I hope to be able to work with Willl. He is a lot of fun, but I will let the time decide. Who is you favorite designer? It's very difficult. I don't personally like mentioning any one particular name because a lot of them are friends. I just say that what I think is fantastic is the impact and impression that we are making. We have always made it but it's growing globally now. |
