Surprise no one from Bengal this time

isnt the girl (sohini mishra)in glasses is from bengal!!! well this time mostly are punjabi

Very surprising. Nobody from Northeast or the south. It seems most of them are from 3 or 4 states.May be they did not find anybody there.

The judges were totally biased against the Bengali contestants at the Kolkata auditions. They threw out even the very good ones and then in 2nd round, they rejected the best ones from East India. Sohini Mishra is from Orissa, so shes the only one from eastern India.

This time the whole selection seems lopsided.😡 concentrated from 2-3 states.

aww best bengali singer to date was hemant da--no one can recreate his magic he made a non bengali like me a huge fan of rabinder sangeet but i think singers that got selected in top 10 r pretty good only one's i feel could have been there were some classical based singers but as per bolywood is considered be it bengalis(hemant ;geeta dutt,mana dey) or punajbis(mohd rafi shamshad begum noorjehan etc) or maharashtrians(lata and Asha ji) and ofcourse kishore da was also bengali so i think we have had fair share from all over india ---so many legendry music directors were from punjab bengal and UP what matters is talent-----and being Indian--i even love pakistani singer s in bollywood if theyr talented enough

May be it is a test by the II6 team. Bengali is 4th or 5th popular language world wide and in my view has a direct link to the voting. This creates the bais towards the actual winner. So may be they deliberately avoided a bengali or NE singer this time, just so that the best wins rather than a highly voted one. I think last years winner SriRam is a good example of a non- Bengali winner.
