I have been working hard on the character 'Jassi' and after three years of this hard work, I want to welcome this break with open arms. Everything seems to have wound up well and I'm pleased with the way things have worked out for me. Contrary to the rumours floating around, I have absolutely no plans on quitting television. Offers have been coming in and right now I am in the process of reading interesting scripts. I have not made any decisions yet but I'm keeping my options open. Even Jassi's producers Tony and Deeya Singh have come up with a script. Prahlad Kakkar and Bobby Pushkarna had offered me a film, way back when Jassi was still on air. I should start shooting for the film sometime in September or October. I can't reveal much about my character in the film or who's starring opposite me, since that's all under wraps at the moment. The producers are in the process of making some changes in the script and some fine details need alterations as well. So one will just have to wait for the inside story. There have been so many heart-touching moments while doing the show. I remember while going to Delhi - a woman came up to me and asked both her children to touch my feet. I was overwhelmed as I was not aware of the popularity of the show then. Beside this, there are many anecdotes, which I will never forget. Another being, when in Mauritius while shooting for Jassi's makeover, an old woman came up to me saying she is glad that her daughter is becoming more beautiful. Strong Ties…
I have met the most wonderful people on the sets of Jassi - Nandu (Gaurav Gera), Armaan (Apoorva Agnihotri), Mallika (Rakshanda Khan) and my producers Tony and Deeya Singh. We are all close friends now. Of course I am going to miss them, but I'm sure that we will keep meeting on and off. |
