Themes for gala rounds

I am really confused.. is any there any particular theme for each gala round this time? Sometimes there seems to be a theme.. but sometimes I don't understand on what basis the songs are chosen..people are singing old songs, new songs, bhangra ..everything in the same gala..it just puts undue weight on the song choice of the contestants than anything else.. last year they had more strictly defined themes, so everybody had to try and sing similar kinds of songs, so it was more fair I think.

What say you?

sony needs to come up with better and more specific themes rather than broader themes like blockbusters

they had the wedding songs themem in fame gurukul too

wedding theme is just not so specific....it can include any kind of song...so the theme should be more specific which brings out people's talent and also helps test their versatality!!

Yes, I think they should have genre specific themes.. rather than useless themes like wedding /blockbusters..wedding is no theme for the top 5 contestants of Indian Idol!! they should have themes that test and challenge the singers..
