Has SGMP robbed II2 of its magic?

umm...i didn't watch sa re ga that much...agreed the singers were v. good...but i still think amey is well at par with them...if not better...i have more fun watching india idol...its more intimate with the cointestants...its almost like they're family...

no way is II better than srgmp

to be very honest ....yes ... I think so ... but u can say Amey , Karuniya , Antra and one beautyful guy i don know his name i think Panna ... they all 4 are deserve to be in srgmp .. other ways the rest even cant be select in first round too .. bcz agar dekha jaae to srgmp me bare bare musik director check karte hen ...

i think the quality of srgmp singers in better than majority of II but there r sum singers hu r at par with srgmp tooo so its not that all are bad its jus the prob with II is that sum ordinary singers r still present there while good ones at least better ones r out but at least amey n karunya r still there hope either wins....but well in srgmp hema was voted out but accordin to me he was the winner his "nahi samne" was fab!!!!! lol i sed that so many times so many places......sigh newez hope 4 da best now

i agree that his nahi samne was the best one ... but u should watch all his perf,,,, me maanta hun ke wo bohut acha singer he but sirf ek gaana bohut acha gaane se koi winner nahi hojata ...

Singers in top 28 I think were better than SRGM singers especially when you consider if Kshitij, Dilpreet, Renuka and Jyotsna had been taken in the final Galas. Surely they would have giveb tough competition to SRGM singers.
Now in final Galas there are only Amey Karunya Meenal & Monali who were able to compete with SRGM singers. Others have been voted out by the public in piano round itself.

i agree SRGMP singers are way better than II2.. Even I can find so many flaws when II contestants sing.. SRGMP has really raised the standards of reality music shows..

Even the judges of SRGMP were way better (before the public voting,, in the previous rounds) They really had distinguished judges and all gave unbiased verdict.. It does make sense to bring judges who dont knw the contestants.. eg. anu malik can never find a single flaw in antara's singing.. just because he like her doesnt mean she is the best.. as a judge you shud be impartial.. farah also was unfair to meenal..

I agree with u Qazi-fan about the judging..that itself is a major factor that distinguishes the 2 shows..the judging here on II2 is more casual, and frivilous...judges keep changing their verdicts...on the day of the performance they do a lot of wah wah and the next day they predict the same person will be in bottom 3 because he didnt perform well...compare this to the conviction and seriousness with which judging was done on SGMP...and because of that more often than not justice was served and we did get pretty good singers for the final rounds...

ya generally comparing, srgm had better quality of singers than II but i consider only amey n karunya to be on par with the SRGM finalists and if II has any quality then its cuz of these two. meenal prolly isbetter than some female finalists fo srgm.
