Babul suprio hasn't his own voice, he copies Kumar Sanu, and sudesh voshle is a mimic artist,he copies each and every voice, there is a huge difference between a Mimic artist and a Versetile Artist

I don't agree with the judges! Not everyone can sing all the songs!There're Limitations.the problem comes when we compare them to the original singers!they should not be compared to them!I think Amey Antara,Meenal and Karunya are doing pretty good job in singing in thier own voice and if they're given any song they will do a pretty good job with that!

Hmmm...interesting topic. Well i think tht every singer shd have a couple of genres where they excel. I'd rather have a signer who's an expert in one genre than have one who's mediocre in all genres.

When the judges say all types of songs---i think they mean singers who can carry off classical, romantic, folk, disco, slow songs with aplomb....ther has to be a range of genres a singer shd be capable of singing---take for example Sonu---he's sung songs in various genres n thts one of the reasons he has survived successfully for so long.

However versilaity doesnt mean tht u expect a singer to sing hindustani classical as well as rap with the same amount of ease.

well i totally agree with the judges
yaar versetility does not mean that one day u sing a clasical song n other day u sing a rap......
but what my music teacher told me is that versetility means that u can sing in high + low pitch u can sing in all rags etc
so i don think so that i wud like listening to such a singer who wud sing only in low pitches n sad songs only
Nusrat Fateh Ali used to sing ghazals + qawalis + songs for movies like kaisa yeh pyaar hai so even he was versetile

fact is that
1.judges are all from bollywood

2.guests are all from bollywood(even if they cant sing_why not a leslie lewis or evenraju singh)

3 songs they sing are from bollywood.

4 singers dream is to get into bollywood.

everyone wants to (and others want them to)sing for srk,hr,amir,preity.rani,etc.
why should we expect anything different?
