This is one of my favourite songs and i have heard it zega zillion times. Infact amey also made a mistake while he sang the line "dhak dhak sanse". In the original song the "sanse" part sounds completely different from the way Amey sung it. Karumya also chose a song which was sung in a voice (Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan) which is very much different from his voice but he made the song sound nice in his voice and carried it very beautifully. However the same quality was missing in Amey.
cheers

Hi Pragati,
I agree with you. I also like to listen to Amey and Karunya , but with the RDB song I too felt different. It was not that he did not sing it well but i think the flair for carrying of such a high pitched and high tempo song was absent. on the same note i think Karunya attempted and did justice to a really different and difficult song.

Actually I agree with you somewhat. The song doesn't suit Amey's voice because the original was sung by Daler Mahendi and Amey tried too hard to copy him. I like Amey, but for me it was his worst performance of the galas. Good thing about Karunya is though he sang Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan song he never tried to copy him.

Same goes for Antra. She didn't try to copy the original voice and thats why she sounded lot better. And Meenal didn't even copied the rhythm and feel of the song too much and added her own touch to it.

👏 Thanks for being unbiased. The music "ringe ringe ringe...: (what the hell it is, I haven't figured it) was totally different and a bit wierd! Amey was literally screaming during high pitch... but he is forgiven😃 I love him!😉

Vote for Amey!

True fans stand by their favorite, in good and bad times. My favorite sports team may stink but they'll still be my favorite and I'll keep cheering for them. Losers are the ones who switch favorites based on one performance, not fans. And don't say typical Indian, it has nothing to do with being Indian, American or Chinese. Diehard Chicago Bull fans will STAY diehard Chicago Bulls fans, regardless of their team's record.

If you felt Amey was off tune, your opinion. But don't impose your opinion on others.

I don't know why judges pardon him. May be they fear that junta would vote him out if they give negative comments to Amey.

Amey sounded very off key specially when he started off..and everytime he was going into the high pitch parts.. the song simply didn't suit is voice..it was a brave effort, and the judges I felt were trying to encourage him..
