Ravi hails Indian Idol Abhijeet

Ravinder Ravi, a contestant from Ludhiana who participated in the engrossing Indian Idol talent show, feels Abhijeet Sawant has been deservedly chosen the Indian Idol. The Ludhiana Idol attended the grand finale in Mumbai. ''Although Sawant is a good friend of mine, I can vouch that he is the right choice for the coveted title. Abhijeet has a classical voice. He is immensely talented and hard-working,'' Ravi speaking from Mumbai said.

Commenting on what worked against Amit Sana, who received a standing ovation from judges and the audience in previous episode, Ravi opined, ''It is simply his kismat. He is also a classical singer. We may attribute a reason towards Amit's defeat but the fact that only kismat played its part at this stage. In a way, both are the winners to have made it to so far and displayed what excellent live singing is all about.'' Ravi's voice was replete with happiness, when he was asked about the hug for his performance from Sonu Nigam. Ravi said that it was his reward. ''All along I was being criticised for faltering on my sur but I showed them last night that I am not a besura. I too can sing in sur. It is just that when people voted for me I lost melody. But as soon as I was out of the contest my natural singing just came back to me. And the hug I received from Sonu Nigam proves this,'' Ravi said. Ravi laughed off the statement he made about the contest being rigged. ''At that time, I was in a different state of mind. Today I can see things in perspective. I am clear about them and can understand them better,'' Ravi said. Ravi, who is in Mumbai to record an album, feels his journey through the mega talent show was a dream for him. ''The programme made the painter Ravinder Ravi to a singer. The love and recognition I got is more than I could expect from life.'' Speaking about the love he got from people, Ravi said, ''Recently, two persons came to meet me from Bikaner. They tried to locate me for two days and when they met me on the third day, tears trickled down their cheeks. This is what Indian Idol has given me apart from my singing.''

I know !!!!!!! he was luking verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy cool , in the concert and in the video!!!!!!!!!!!, i luved him in all his songs especially Dum!!!!!!!!!Zabardast!!!!!!!!!
