I know from Indian Idol II only Amey and Karunya can qualify for singing in SaReGaMaPa. But still i would say II-2 is better than Fame Gurukul atleast.

my aunt was like the biggest fan of fame gurukul....becuz she never saw indian idol....but now she watches it and she says fame gurukul was just alllll drama

well Sandip and Ravi are the wrong examples to compare to SaReGa... but if you take good singers, like I mentioned before, they can give competition to the SaRe people. Remember the SaReGaMaPa people are bieng taught by their mentors, it makes a HUGE of a diff. 😉

i guess we can put it like this then:

For singing quality alone: SRGMP wins hands down!!!
For entertainment value: II-2
And for a reality show with Ekta Kapoor style drama: FG---

But yes, I still believe tht only amey (n perhaps karunya as well) will survive in SRGMP, although nearly ALL SRGMP singers can survive in II-2, eg. Amey, Rahul Vaidya, Prajakta Shukre....but thts just my opinion.

N yes, Connie told me the II-2 contestants do hours of riyaz as well---but having mentors does help...

I like both shows...Indian Idol II and saregamapa. The shows don't need to be compared. Both shows are unique and the contentants are chosen from thousands of people and are on stange to prove their talent.

yea---it's betetr not to compare the two---coz i like both---there r times when i like SRGMP better n times when I like II-2 better----they both r good in their own rights

Compared to sony's Indian ido,zeetv sa re ga ma pa cleary is the winner.It has some amazing singers both boys and the girls.Nihira ,himani,hemachandra,vinit,debojit,paresh,shari b....
No wonder they r getting more playback singing offers than indian idol contestants.No suprise to see abhijit sawant still now not gettin any playback singing offers(may be 1 or 2 at the most),but just surviving on his albums which sony tv is providing on a platter.
We need the true singers is nebody listening!!

i think many ppl have already asked not to compare the two shows and they r abs. correct....as farak khan says that we r not going to hear these ppl on radios...so they gotta be good performers as well.....

n no doubt amey is the best...but we cant ignore karunya, meenal, monali
