Indian Idol II sucks!!

Compared to previos year ,Indian idol II has beeen big let down.The real talented singers have not been picked,all we got is some stage performers except may be karunya and amey.
There is hardly anything new brought in,it all looks so stale.The fact is that there is only 1 clear winner at the moment that is amey date ,that makes the show all more boring,there is no one near him even at this moment,I dare to challenge anyone who disagrees with me!!
Compared to sony's Indian ido,zeetv sa re ga ma pa cleary is the winner.It has some amazing singers both boys and the girls.Nihira ,himani,hemachandra,vinit,debojit,paresh,shari b....
No wonder they r getting more playback singing offers than indian idol contestants.No suprise to see abhijit sawant still now not gettin any playback singing offers(may be 1 or 2 at the most),but just surviving on his albums which sony tv is providing on a platter.
We need the true singers is nebody listening!!

ermmmm i understand what you are trying to say and maybe even agree with you... but you could have been a teeny weeny bit more subtle about that 😊

BUt umm dood, u see, SaReGaMaPa is ALL about Playback singing. I dont picture the winner of the show, doing int. shows like Abhijit is doing. Indian Idol you are a pop star and not so much of a play back singer.

And I dissagree, the contestants this time, have awesome voices. Antara, Meenal, Monali, Neha, Amey, Karunya and sagar. All have really gr8 voices. Maybe because the show just started, and they need to open up.
But you also have to look at the fact, that in SaRe.... the contestants are bieng trained by professionals. Where as in Indian Idol, they teach themselves.

The mods have said not to bring in singers from other shows.

umm...those singers are for playback...so obviously

these singers are gonna be rockstars(abhijeet sawant-rockstar) these singers need to know how to perform on stage and do it well

saregama singers focus more on singing becuz they gonna do more playback singing den concerts

but i agree with u on amey...he's the best 😆

Shamit I agree with u that it is not fair to compare the singers from these two shows,but wat really upsets me is that even the singing talent is not upto the mark compared to indian idol I,nobody before the start of the show could have predicted abhijeet would have won it,but here almost the Amey date looks unanmious winner just after 2 galas.
reasons:
1>Sings really well has strong classical music background.
2>His cute and irrepresibble looks helps matter(remember girl/housewivwe s are the one who do the most voting)
3>Being from mumbai always helps(got the largest cellphone user base)
4>Among the guys karunya and sandeep might pose a challenge to him,but if u are looking for a performer ,i dont knoe how many would like to see them as pop idol.
5>Among the girls ,there r few gud but the only one who I think can give amey a run for his money is antara.
But the public voting has never been kind to girl's,and this may ruin her chances!

if you like srgmp singers then you should post there. this is II-2 forum. we aren't looking for playback singers but overall package.

please give the singers some more time to settle down. we have so many galas to go.

Although the tone was pretty blunt, i actually agree with anuranaik 100%. In this country there's no such concept like 'rockstar'---tell me ONE SINGER who has survived for atleast 5-8 years successfully solely based on 'pop albums'. Even Sonu and Abhijeet Sawant say tht in India u cant rely on pop albums alone---if u want to survive in the long-run U HAVE TO BE A PLAYBACK SINGER. In the long-run i dont see abhijeet being as popular as a SRGMP contestant lik Shreya/Sunidhi/Kunal.....And yes, why is Amey the hot fav.? Coz he's a good singer---n this singing talent of amey was first tapped by SRGM! n yes, i loved tht bit anuranaik wrote abt Amey 😉 😉

Remember wat Sonu said in the gala results round---he said that ireespective of who wins II, in the end only the 'good singers' (read NOT PERFORMERS, or ROCKSTARS) will survive.

Lets put it lik this---can Vinit/Hemachandra successfully compete in II-2: YES.
Can Sandeep/Ravi compete in SRGMP: NO! They'd get kicked out in the first round itself!!!!

The only reason i prefer II-2 is coz Himesh Reshammiya is not there in the show!!!!!!!😆😆

Maybe Im biased coz I realyl dont look for performance--i look mroe for singing thn anything.

but sandeep and ravi aren't rockstars...not close to either....i dont think they contain that x-factor in them...they are not entertainers...now if u were to put entertainers like panna and even amey who is also a good singer in saregama.....i think both amey and panna will survive...even tho they are good entertainers

For me..........well i have made two separate compartments in my brain and heart. One for SaReGaMaPa and one for Indian Idol. I don't even dare compare the two b'coz i know i will end up miserable.

I know from Indian Idol II only Amey and Karunya can qualify for singing in SaReGaMaPa. But still i would say II-2 is better than Fame Gurukul atleast.
