This format of boys and girls performing separatly was this only because neha was sick, or is this how its going to be for the next indian idol (3)...coz i know the boys and girls will be together next week or something?

No, this is how they had announced it. The only consideration they made for Neha is that they held the boyz gala first (they had a kinda preplanned antakshari for that between boys and girls)so that Neha recovers and comes back. From now, all 10 contestants participate together. As for II3, no one knows as they change the format a bit every year I guess.
