Indian Idol Series 2 has taken the country by storm! The show has received astounding response from millions of viewers across the country. And with all the add on glamour and glitz Indian Idol now launches the first music album and music video of the top 12 finalists of Series 2. After ten weeks of sleepless nights and hard work the 12 finalists are moving towards realizing their dreams. The first, being the music album accompanied with a music video! Just in a span of 3 months... is a big achievement for these young, dynamic and talented singers... who have earned this fame, name and recognition on the ultimate music platform provided by Sony Entertainment Television.
In just one year Indian Idol has grown from just being a musical reality show to a dream title that every aspiring singer wants to achieve. The name, fame and recognition that Indian Idol brings for young talent in this country is what makes Indian Idol special.
The music album is named as 'Indian Idol Series 2'; recorded by Sony BMG Music Entertainment and the music director is Miko. Their group theme song is "Woh pehli baar" ... with some fresh lyrics and spirit of the Indian Idol in it.
Speaking on the occasion, NP Singh, COO, Sony Entertainment Television said, "It's a proud moment for all us at Sony Entertainment Television as we launch the first music album and video of the top 12 finalists of Indian Idol series 2. The entire nation has witnessed the magic of the first series and also seen how life has transformed for the eleven finalists. The Galas are the first step towards ultimate stardom for the 12 finalists of Indian Idol Series 2... and the excitement will continue in each round till the nation gets its NEXT INDIAN IDOL!!"
On the occasion of the launch of their first music album and video, the judges have wished the contestants luck and called upon all the enthusiastic viewers to vote for the deserving contestant as the next Indian Idol.
Farah Khan said, "I am really happy for these contestants and it feels really nice to see their first album being launched. This is a proud moment for the contestants, their families and the town they belong to! I wish them all the best!!"
Anu Malik said, "These 12 finalists have been chosen by the viewers because they are the best. Indian Idol Series 2 songs are a peppy mix of old and new evergreen numbers and these budding singers have done justice to these golden melodies."
The 12 finalists on their journey to becoming the Indian Idol have undergone an overall grooming session and are trained under veteran singers. Neeta Lulla has designed their clothes to match their performances and personality. Watch their dazzling outfits and the grandiose gala set designed by Samir Chanda in the final Gala round of Indian Idol. Each contestant will dazzle on stage not just with their mind-boggling performances and but their larger than life on screen presence.

- Another loud number from Panna
Ok, to be fair to them and jokes apart, they have all sung songs which compliment their voice. It is natural to showcase one's strong points. Way to go.👍🏼
