Any sensible person will compare to present Sonu...not the Sonu 5 or 10 years back or future Sonu. This guy's argument is so stupid and ridiculous that it's better to stop replying to his post.

@ Ultimate: You love taking things literally don't you. When one says, he has the potential to become Sonu, it doesn't mean he will actually become the exact level of Sonu at any given point of time. It refers to the stature of Sonu. Sonu represents a highly trained, versatile singer who also achieved great success, was greatly acclaimed and has a remarkable body of work to show. Seeing the same potential in Sreeram means that there is an expectation that he will reach a similar of adulation and have a similar body of work to show

So, then, maybe you could tell the audience how long would it take for today's Sreeram to become today's Sonu? And (if) once Sreeram reaches the strature of today's Sonu, would the OP's claim be considered true or would then Sonu be even higher than Sreeram? Or maybe lower than Sreeram? When/how can the claim (without any concrete data) that Sreeram "has the potential to become Sonu" be validated?? I think never because it is impossible to become one singer the other singer (ofcourse metaphorically), but if you have any other POV, I can read.

A train starts from a station at a speed of 100kmph. After 2 hours, another train starts from the same station. The destination of both is 1000km from the first station. Now if the second train travels at 150kmph, it will take it 4 hours to overtake the first. If it travels at 125 kmph, both will arrive at the destination at the same time. If it travels at a speed of less than 125 kmph, it will never catch up with the first, at least on this journey for this distance to be covered.

But all said and done, I too do not want a "second Sonu Nigam". I want a "first Sreeram".

Fair enough. Though OP did not sound like that and definitely think it through like that. I agree that Sreeram has got a great opportunity, which if he capitalizes on correctly, he would enjoy as much success as that of Sonu/Kishore/Rafi/Lata throughout his career.
