Hello all,

Why is Ravi Tripathi smiling? The camera was focused on him a lot of times, though a veteran of FG show, he wasnot given as much focus as others, guess they kept him out of focus, also he is always smiling, that teasing smile, can someone tell me why?

and he fell flat when he was coming for singing but he managed to sing !! cant comment on his singing but he cooly made it to the final 28!!!

I think Ravi looks too flat and old... for Indian Idol...
I don't like his personality.......I hope he changes his outlook...

BTW...he is not FG Vetran.... he was not selected in FG...he only sang one song to get entry into FG...

He is a trained singer...but i don't really like his personality... I hope that changes.....

i agree...........he looks kind of old for Indian Idol. His singing also did not impress me. I don't think he will go far in this contest.

BTW......i read somewhere that he is Suresh Wadkar's student and also teaches in his singing acadamy.

Yes he is Suresh Wadkar's student and also a relative of Ravindra Jain I think. He is not so old also only 25-26 same as Amey Date. I dont like his singing.

haha i too thought the same, but i felt he is quite reserved!! not mixing with everyone around even in auditions but his smile sometimes makes us wonder if he is laughing at rest of the crowd!!

He is 29 and the oldest contestant so far. His smile is definitely fake and does not go with the rest of his personality. Someone tell him that its ok to be reserved since everyone does not have it in them to be an extrovert.

Ravi Tripathi is 29 yrs old and looks so too. I can't believe he made it to the next round. I thought he was the worst of the 7 who performed yesterday.He must have some inside connection to Sony. Now we know why he keeps smiling.
Also, I think the age limit for entry into II was 30. I hope India is looking for a younger idol.
