Whenever he does that, I just cover my face (because now it has started becoming irritating).

I like your post in part. I like the fact that you have finally come to the terms that this is a competition. Everyone must be desperate to win.
Your other rant is not so entertaining though. Your diatribe about Bhoomi and Rakesh shows that you are a Sreeram apologist. Being an apologist is also ok considering your username but the epitome of idiocy is displayed when you compare anyone (forget Sreeram) with Hariharan.. Get well subbu.. I hope that sambhar helps you. Covering your face would definitely help those kids in your community who always get scared when they see you.

The worst performer of the night was Mr. Udit narayan. I dont know why he sounds so bad these days. May be he doesn't do much of "riyaaz" these days or his vocal cord has some kind of serious problem. Its sure that he doesnt get to sing much these days because of his degrading voice. Otherwise his voice is still sale-able . I wonder what has happened to this great man. Had he maintained his similar voice as before, he would definitely have been in the high priority list of most of the music directors.
nowadays, when he sings on stage it seems that he doesnt understand SUR, TAAL and LAYA. so bad!!

Well I thought you were posting something constructive against my post, but your ending gave me the clue as to what you actually have in your mind. You think I am siding with Sreeram because I am also from the South? If Sreeram was bad, I would say it anywhere. Without knowing anything about me, please dont come to such conclusions. I feel Rakesh has always tried to bring up his dad/mom many a time and has used the emotional quotient far too much. I STAND BY IT. Bhoomi is good (I never spoke anything against her). In fact I have loved many of her performances and also Rakesh's. But I didnt like Rakesh's drama bit in this season.
There are other msgs here too that says Sreeram performed as good as the original song (sung by Hariharan and Kailash Kher). I never compared Sreeram the singer with Hariharan the singer (in general). I was comparing their versions for this particular song. I said he was as good, thats all.
P.s: Dont bring the community issue in. That is, if you want to have a constructive argument. If you continue on that issue, well I will have to stop replying back to you.

but you can do it as you are his fan or relative.

Yes, I am his fan. But I am not a blind fan who likes everything that he does. I have only known him because of and since the start of Indian Idol-5 (probably for the past 3-4 months). I am living in USA.

My guess is Udit Narayan was keen on showing on II5 platform that he is still as enthusiastic as the young singers brigade and he too can rip off latests beats with ease. He was in fact acting as a fourth contestant on stage yesterday. These days, Udit Narayan is not being treated well in bollywood as he hardly gets to sing 1 or 2 songs in year. He has shifted his base to South Indian movies.

Bhoomi - 7/10 - She is good but not best.

Sreeram - 9.5/10 - Apart from little mis-spelling i didn't find any flaws in the singing.

Rakesh - 8/10 - Sur was good but no throw in his voice especially "Ae Ajnabi" part and end up sounding like a romantic number.

Comments about the episode:

It was so funny when Udit said to Abhijeet: Tumhara matlab main buddha ho gaya hoon? I look like Sunidhis Boyfriend blah blah and then Sunidhis answer hehe 😆

And Bhoomis rap, its really becoming irritating...i could only bear it this time because it was about Abhijeet. And of course he deserves all the praise she rapped 😳

I thought Udit was good yesterday. He was very vibrant but i didnt understand why he did all those Shayaries.

The end was really interesting...Sreeram and Bhoomi both voted for Rakesh and both said what many other have been saying: Rakesh only sings romantic songs.
I dont want to bash rakesh here, in fact i like his voice ( but he should stop dancing) and he sings beautiful. And yes it is true he proved himself once with the Aaj Gufaaon Mein track.
its just one thing i disagree with. Sunidhi said: Jo aap gaa sakte ho then you should give your 100 percent to that. But then why was Naushad asked to sing other type of songs? And if Swaroop is good at folk songs then why didnt they let him sing that only?
i like Rakesh..i absolutely loveee his voice but i think in some way Sreeram and Bhoomi were right. (not that Bhoomi can sing all songs, but lets not waste time on her)

Sometimes i wish Shashi, Shivam or Swaroop were still in this competition instead of Bhoomi/Rakesh. They were always trying something new and they were always singing tuff songs and most of the time they did a wonderful job!

ps: i hope i didnt offend anyone =)

Reg. the Rakesh episode some thoughts

-First, it was too late in the show to broadcast such differences. If they wanted to show the opinions of fellow contestants about Rakesh, they should have done it a lot earlier. Kinda gives me the feeling they didn't want to take the chance of him getting eliminated.

-Again, it was completely unnecessary at this stage.Whatever happened previously, we have reached the end of the season and the contestants remaining are trying their best and the finale week has been very positive and pleasurable in general. The negative vibe was totally unnecessary.

- It is true that Rakesh played it extremely safe especially in the gala rounds. The songs he went out of comfort zone were all in the elimination episodes which the ordinary public doesn't pay much attention to but I think it is unfair to say Rakesh didn't go out of his comfort zone at all. He tried a couple of times.

- Rakesh handled the criticism decently well. It's tough being put in a spot like that. Having said that the whole " Papa kehte hain" thing looked completely ridiculous and took away from his earlier reply.

- The judges defense of Rakesh looked weak and unconvincing.

And specially for my favorite poster: The Ultimate, just an opinion, buddy😉

My favourite performance was Yun Hi Chala Chal - Sreeram was a good replacement for Hariharan/Kailash Kher and his chemistry with Uditji was very good too!

The Partner song was badly sung. Bhoomi was horrible - I don't like her voice quality at all. Uditji was OK - his English pronunciation was irritating.

Rakesh was again no great shakes. Aye Ajnabi did not suit his voice and it isn't even a duet so splitting up the lines made it seem very muddled. Whereas Bhoomi added a slight western style in Partner to compliment Uditji's desiness and Sreeram added his Kailash-inspired vocals, Rakesh could contribute nothing to Aye Ajnabi. His voice quality fell flat in front of Uditji's and I didn't feel his 'feel'.

My ranking: Sreeram, Rakesh, Bhoomi

Uditji's singing was good and bad in parts. He started 'Jaanam Dekh Lo' well but ended up out of breath. In Aye Ajnabi, his sinuses sounded slightly clogged up. But other than breathing problems, which I think were to do with moving around too much, his voice quality was amazing. If only he did more riyaaz and moved around less...
