Things look perfect as you like ... if he get a chance to some very talented and famous for these rules actors like Irfaan Khan,pankaj kapoor, om puri, naseerudin shah Or many to name, you would have said it was demand of film LOL.. So world looks as we see it..

I agree to last post .. Work of Aamir Khan speaks for himself .. and i felt use of word "beg" by topic starter a bit rude ... Aamir khan has made name for himself by showing some extra ordinary skills in acting and bringing social issues as movies ... He is such a brilliant man I admire him a lot for being so down to earth ... has anyone noticed the standard (Physically) of crew of his upcoming movie?? I don't think anyone else will take those actors as lead in movie ... when everyone is running behind big names ..he is the one going in public and finding out real talent and bringing them in cinemas .. moreover, leaves a spark by his work.. So I don't think he needs to request or i say (beg) any show or channel for forcing them to invite on show.. And how on earth someone believes that he will beg to SONY Tv... A channel is struggling itself .. well many of us their hidden stuff ... isn't??

@Moreover, Some people are argue that they were irritated by emotional drama of crew of movie on set of II5.. Look guys be practical, if such a big star will made you somebody to nobody..won't you praise him?? he took actors from small cities and gave such a wonderful opportunity to show their talent...if they praised him, publicly, whats wrong in that??? what you will do if someone a big name from your respective talent .i.e singing,dancing,writing or anything give you chance to show what you have and then brings you on national TV... won't you applause that person? or will stay quit being dumb?? Anyone can answer this?? Please???

@ He is far better than some actors who are strucked on one type of roles throughout their life .. [B] So a humble request to everyone, please don't use such Words or Sentences specially against a established celebrity and personality or the one is Idol of mosts ..

@It is just my personal opinion .. Any Resemblance to hurting anyone's feeling will be called Co-Incidence ... thanks

👏👏👏 . Bhinder well said. awesome. I like your views and you are so true. Amir has made some true gems and I am eagerly waiting for peepli live as well.
He is probably one of the rarest gem of a people to have the guts to make that little kid the main lead and not himself. I admire his humility and its his guts and humility that keeps shining through all his movies.
👏👏👏

Taare Zameen Par: Aamir was the big star there. He can't play a kid so needs a new comer kid.

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na: Imran Khan is Aamir's nephew.

Lagaan: script demanded new comers again. Plus Aamir cast himself as the big brave soul.

I don't think you are dumb just to clarify. I may be too cynical or you may be too naive. From my perspective, I think the latter about you. Of course you may think the former about me. I just feel most people are not out to do noble things especially in an aggressively self-promoting industry such as Bollywood.

I personally feel Aamir does not need Sony to promote him...
Sony also needs him to jack up the TRPs...
so it is give and take..
why blame AAmir...
I agree the contestants were overshadowed... but I guess, this is the reality, the show gets over the contestants are anyway forgotten.. that is the harsh reality
Sony obviously wants to make money..so they are doing what gives them maximum gain...

Anyways I admire Aamir since he is really creative..willing to try out different things as a producer or as an actor...
As an actor, for me he among the best which we have now...

1. TZP - Off course he can't play kid .. LOL but there were some other character also, why you just saw one big name Aamir khan?
2. JTJJN - his nephew... was he a big name then?? Does anyone know nephew of Akshay Kumar?? we will come to know if he will up come to cinemas .. isn't? and it is always risk to give breakthrough to new comer.. these days when big starring are doing flop shows .. pressure on Production houses is more than ever before.. So always risk to give chance to any new comer although he is father of big star, brother of big star or nephew of big star ..
3.Laggan- What the ..? where script was demanding new comers?? those roles could have been played by some high profile actors as well .. that time there were many actors like Fardeen Khan, Vivek,Shahid names go on who had no work .. they would have accepted is happily .. Lagaan was super hit.. so everything was there looks perfect .. if they supposed to had high profile actors and film superhit, you would say scripts demands high profile actors ..

@So buddy, life goes like this.. you are thinking the way Film forced you to think .. Look Now i am replying, you would think differently and if i would not have replied, you think i have nothing to speak or no answer ... So all our thoughts originates of what we see in real world and everything had two perspectives ...

@sushruthaji
Actually I am understanding your point of view and also agree to some of them.What I did not like is the topic starter saying aamir begged the channel.I dont think I can agree to that.
@swati ji,
exactly my point of view too.He is a great actor,star,has the charisma to attract the audience just by his acting alone.Aamir the brand name is enough ,he doesnt need any promotion leave alone begging.

I think the kind of risks you are talking about with regard to TZP and JTYJN, everyone takes. Anurag Kashyap, Dipankar Banerjee all these people take such risks. So nothing special that Aamir does.

With respect to Lagaan, Fardeen Khan et al make really unconvincing Bhojpuri villagers. So I think the script demanded it.

Of course, we all have our opinions. I don't disrespect yours just disagree.

@sushrutapandey I think this arguement has no end .. so better leave it here ... My Point was only to say that the Use of Word "beg" is too harsh for Aamir Khan .. and he is one don't need any introduction ...his works creep for him.. it was not like if he supposed to not come on II5, Movie would get flop .. So My Point is that No matter his fans going to watch that movie .. Indian Idol was just message to ear of fans that I have Come .. thats it ..

@So better leave discussion here and no hard feeling please.. God Bless You I respect your Opinions

Yes, I partially agree with you, Di.
First of all, the channel has to raise the TRP's by showing something entertaining and by doing so, they lose their minds completely. Since it's pormotion season, Sony has been promoting movies hither and thither, on CID, II, Boogie Woogie and even on some soaps(like that wedding show, forgot the name). This makes me doubtful about their budget,which I feel they have overspent😆
I don't think that Aamir Khan was begged to come on II, rather ot was the other why around, so that there is an increase in TRP's, especially since the gala rounds are over, and Sony has to fill in that particular time slot. I read somewhere in the papers few weeks ago that Aamir himself had said that he won't be focusing much on publicizing of the movie, and the movie will speak for itself. Besides, do you really think that a movie that was produced by a man who has been delivering hits like TZP, 3I, Ghajini etc needs any hype etc..?😆
The episode yesterday was way too chessy and irritating for my liking, at least. They were focusing on redundant features, like the clips of the movie and small talk which made no sense, like Ammaji and AM's convo, with AM sounding more froggy that ever😆 So, I just fast-forwarded these parts and listened to the contestants, the song by the Indian Ocean band, and the Mehangayi song at the end.
I won't be surprised to see such nonsensical stuff coming on repeatedly this week, since the gala rounds are over and this week's performances won't be judged critically as such.
IDK if that affects my decision on watching the movie. The concept is good: a satirical comedy about famers commiting suicide in Chattisgarh because the govt will pay for their death and the reviews look good, let's see if I watch it or not.
