Well Sreeram and Shivam are the most versatile. They've sung different kinds of songs so marks to them for experimentation and to have those guts to sing and have also sung the songs they're chosen really well so kudos to them for that. Rakesh is far from being versatile, his voice sounds good in the songs he sings cuz they are the same kind he doesn't move on to try other genres. Even though Swaroop has started to sing different songs now he isn't good at them apart from folk. I like Bhoomi in the songs she's sung cuz she has a different voice to pull them off specially in her song 'aazma luck' and all songs having a rockish feel but she might have problems singing slow/romantic kind of songs so she isn't that versatile.

Shreeram, of course....is there any doubt??😆
Shivam has tried hard.....but as Dabulls calls it...."karnpriya" factor😆.....these days it seems to missing for my ears anyway....too screechy...😒
Rakesh has great "karnpriya" factor....very soothing....wonder what he will sound like in a different genre??😕
Swaroop and Bhoomi🤢

and we can expect 100 percent perfect singing by him while singing those songs

Can you try giving Sriram or Shivam "Nimboora song" or the Holi song Swaroop sang in Hema Malini episode?

Even though we agree Sriram and Shivam are versatile, they are not 100% versatile.

In film industry no one is 100% versatile. We have experts in every genre; music directors use them when ever they need them.

I don't think any of the remaining contestants is versatile in the full sense of the word.....

Shreeram definitely has a good voice and is a very good singer...technically he is pretty strong which he made very obvious when singing "Breathless".....however, I have never enjoyed any of the romantic songs he sang...for instance, his rendition of "Jaadu teri nazar (a song I really love) and that new song from "Once upon a time in Mumbai" weren't his best...

Now, speaking of enjoying songs....I've always enjoyed Rakesh's performance.... a lot of you have said that he picks easy songs...how do we know if he is not given a limited song choice in the first place?.....anyway, given a choice, I would always prefer listening to a beautifully sung simpler song than listening to an indifferent rendition of a technically challenging song...and because of this, I think he deserves to progress in this competition...

Bhoomi has recently sung some excellent songs as well.....she might be the dark horse of the competition....

I am indifferent about Shivam.....he can be technically good on some days and god awful horrendous on others....

Now, talking of versatility again, I am sure Swaroop is not at all versatile when it comes to playback singing (except for folks songs)...for example, I honestly don't want to hear Ranbir or Imran croon love songs in Swaroop's voice..... I'd rather count the tiles on my floor... 🤢
Or wait.... I'd rather have Bhoomi sing for them in her husky voice.... 😆

Shivam is most versatile. He is quite daring and willing to push his limits too. The drawback to him is that he has not been consistent and has faltered in aspects of singing.

Sreeram comes right next after Shivam. However, Sreeram's greatest advantage is that technically he is far superior. He has attained a level of flawlessness in some songs.

The two of them are evenly matched for me. I prefer Shivam because personally, I find his personality much more vibrant and suited for a stage. He has the attitude of a stage performer. His voice quality is more unique. Moreover, he is still learning. His technical limitations are not the end - he has it in him to improve a whole lot more. Those who prefer consistency and more mastery over singing, would find Sreeram better than Shivam. The only reason he is my second choice is because he has an introverted quality and smoother voice that makes him better suited for playback rather than a performance singer.

Rakesh is not versatile. Perhaps he does have the potential to be versatile, but he has not given himself the opportunity.

Amidst the girls Tia was more versatile. She could carry and fulfill many different songs. Tia's problem was lack of confidence and self awareness. I don't think she knew how to aware of her abilities, how to hone her strengths and overcome weaknesses. She had some really 'bang on' moments as well as plenty of 'WTF' moments. Going by her 'bang on' moments she could have been competition to Shivam and Sreeram if only she had gained confidence, so she could focus on singing and improving on it.

Bhoomi appears least versatile. However, to give credit to Bhoomi her lack of versatility is not completely her fault. Her voice is more alto-contralto and the set of compositions genuinely adaptable to that range to sound good is very limited. In fact given her voice type, she has to be the most impressive of this season for having accomplished songs with that range. The effort on part of her vocal range is commendable. That is why the low pitch jazz style songs suit her more. Most desi music is for softer female voices, she probably will never be successful as a playback singer - but more as a pop star who can have compositions written for her or use pitch correctional software. She would be better suited trying Alto songs like some of Ashley Tisdale, Miley Cyrus etc.

Aww and why do people criticize Ankita so much. Ankita was awesome. One of the best things that happened to Indian Idol. See there are singers and then there are performers. The singing department was low, but when it came to performance Ankita has been the best I have seen in any reality show. She had confidence, poise and ability to take on the stage fearlessly. Her voice was not too shabby, nor was her technique poor for an untrained singer. She could have been groomed under good tutelage. Even some of the best singers cannot perform or entertain. Confidence and presence is a talent that really cannot be taught at all - it has to come from within (something Tia will also suffer from). Singing skills can be trained. Now I am not saying any confident tone def person can be a worthy popstar (of course some are just that) but Ankita was by no means completely tone def.

I have no knowledge of music. But genius in any field has always fascinated me. Sreeram's flawlessnes in his singing (most of the times) is not just practice (which apparently he does in abundance). There is something more to it. If it is only practice then there would be many more Sachin's or Rahul's in our cricket team. Singing perfectly like playing perfect cricket shots or throwing perfectly like those amazing quarter backs, is not just about practice. There is something more at work that is given to these special individuals. Their brains are wired slightly differently. Remember it is that minor tweak that makes the difference, as all they need is that minor advantage to complement their work ethic. Singing skills can be trained for sure, but not perfected. Only a few can because they are special. Can Shivam do that? I don't know, may be he can. But not because he is going to learn and practice more (which I suspect he already is), because he has that extra spark in his brain that allows him to remember the tune in its entirety (photographi memory) and the part of the brain that controls the motor skills (to control the vocal chords) to enable him to sing in tune again and again and again flawlessly. Now that is what makes Sreeram special in this bunch.
