I see lot of fuss about Naushad here. Let me be straight here. All the 13 contestants have got a voice in the first place. Voice is just one of the things a singer requires.

But what we should not forget is the motive of Indian Idol. As all judges have made it clear we are looking for a versatile voice. Naushad's weakness was revealed yesterday. His voice may be great and you may be able to connect with God through his voice but this is not enough to become an Indian Idol. How can you ignore his pronunciation for God sake. Can he do playback with this pronunciation? And it is not just about the words ending with 's'. Yesterday in his 'Deewana Tera' performance clearly the words 'Mausam' and 'Marzi' were butchered by him. I am missing Javed saab now. This is the time he has to improve.

People who are saying that the channel should not have asked the contestants about Bottom 2 and they did all this for TRP. Yaar agar yeh sab nahin karte to phir iss baat ke thread bante ki episode bahut boring tha ya what a waste of episode.
I seriously don't have any issues about what happened yesterday. As an audience I am using my money to vote those guys and I have a full right to know not only about the singing capabilities of a singer but also the nature of a particular contestant.

And I agree with you ... Naushad has some serious work to do. I hope he will take all the criticism in positive light and deliver in the coming weeks. Otherwise, I don't see him in the finale at all!
