what does the entire concept of singing hinge around?

his/her VOICE, a singer can have the best sur, but without the voice, kya kare?

of Rajasthan to gladden the hearts of tourists in Jaipur only instead of whole of India.

I seriously thinks its high time someone pointed out his "lisping"..instead of improving its getting worse for me😕. And whats with his "Talaffuz"? He pronounced 'Mausam" as 'Mosam" , "Marzi" as "MarGee" . At times like this I really miss Javed Akhtar😛

Naushad's singing lacked soul..if someone were to sing 'Deewana mein hoon deewana tera" to me in the manner he sang, I will promptly put a cotton plug in my ears 🤢

Yup. This was unsportsmanlike behavior from some of the contestants. Especially Shashi. Naushad in the Indian Idol Extraa told that he had actually told Shashi that he is writing his name. May be that's why Shashi wrote Naushad's name.
But most of them were honest I think.

Absolutely. Just wasn't able to recall the other word 'Marzi'.
Yes Mausam and Marzi were the two words. Ab inn dono words mein 'ss' to aata nahin hain.

Well the fact is channel did it for publicity and high drama. Otherwise it is unfair to forcefully pit contestants to take names like this. After all they are new to fame and are not well versed in how to handle themselves.

But as Sunidhi pointed out, this is an opportunity to become a better singer. The criticism thrown at each other may have been harsh and not well put, but the fact is a lot of it was true.

Naushad did sing Deewana tera in a more Sufi style rather than get the western treble. Bhoomi can work on expanding her range.

Everyone has a choice, you either mope over the criticism and find a way to hit back or you realize the veracity of it. Your foe just pointed chinks in your armor, it is a golden opportunity to fix it and make the most of it. Someone who has genuine passion for singing will rise above the confrontation and mudslinging and take it in positive strides.

C'mon you guys ... go spam in CC! 😡 Why creating a mess in the section? 😆

Having said that, besides the unnecessary drama they put in today, I like knowing the contestants' opinions as well as the judges' opinions on who should be eliminated. For example, every week, Anu Malik is shocked at some contestant "X" being in the bottom three. My immediate question after that becomes ... then WHO would you want in their place in the bottom three. And when the judges tell us ahead of time, it becomes more obvious.

As far as the contestants go, I think it gives us an insight into their personality a little bit. After watching the Extra today, I felt we saw a new side to singers like Naushad and Bhoomi, etc. It also tells us a little more about what they think. I actually think that Yashraj had the guts to stand up and say that Naushad is NOT a versatile singer. And not only did he say that, he PROVED it as well. Yes, I did feel sorry for Naushad for being put on the spot then, but if he is truly dedicated and true to his talent, he will prove himself. And the same go for all the other singers on the show - take the comments in a good light, if contestants are saying something about you, chances are that there are people out there who are thinking the same.

Nothing is wrong if Bhoomi works on her range, or Naushad works on his versatility, or Yashraj and Tia work on their singing. These are all changes that I WANT to see.

Although I will add that I was very disappointed when Bhoomi's nomination for Swaroop in the bottom three was blatantly ignored when he was considered to be Top 3 by the judges last week. Bhoomi fever is taking its toll on me similar to the Ankita and Sourabhee fever in the past seasons!

Voice is not enough. I have a nice voice, but I cannot sing to save my life. Naushad does have a good voice, I agree, but its not enough. Naushad's performances are forgetful. They have been mediocre to say the least. I do not connect with his singing.

Today, when he sang with Swaroop, THAT was good singing. Otherwise, in his gala performances, he hasn't impressed me a great deal.

It adds to the trp for sure but i think it was good in a way as we have never seen this impromto singing in any show before like naushad and yashraj got to sing songs which were not their genre and than took out flaws in each other's song but i think it's healthy competition cuz everyone took it in the right way and hoped to perform better in future so their name doesn't come again and besides they also had to make the episode continue for atleast an hour so they added it lol
