This time Chitraji gets a popular song after a unknown one from last round. This song, if you listen to the whole thing, had many variations and Chitra excelled across the board.

What a cute and innocent voice. The tune looks simple though.

8 /10.

After the smash hit musical kaho naa pyaar hai, the combo of rakesh and rajesh roshan havent really come out with something we can call "wow". The music of Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish and Kites are just plain mediocre. No offence meant, koi mil gaya did have decent music but only the title track and "idhar chala main udhar chala" are decent songs.

Now, coming to this track, Chitra sang superbly and udit narayan was his usual best. But barring a few places where Chitra makes variation to her sur, the singing is just flat and has no scope for scale variation. The music of rajesh roshan is typical early 90s inspired, tuneful but there is nothing really that makes this song a pleasure to hear. Once, yes. twice, OK. Thrice, forget about it.

The high point is that Chitra sounds pretty sweet and youthful as with the mood of the scene (read caring friend of a physically challenged person), but other than that, there really is nothing "exceptional" about it.

A benefit of doubt perhaps?

Nice track. It has a very listenable melody and harmonius arrangements. And it has UDITji, so definitely worth a couple of listens.

Chitraji is another high pitch specialist whose voice can sound hollow in the low notes. She is definitely not as good at the low notes as she is at the high notes. It's not because she hasn't practised - it's just her voice which sounds a bit dry in the low notes.

This song might as well be cast as the 'typical' Bollywood song. It has a hummable melody, nothing that requires any difficult singing or difficult singing techniques. Such duets are based mostly on the chemistry between the two singers. And Chitraji has done a wonderful job in that department - her pronunciation is not that bad either. Although Uditji has a more complex set of expressions to portray in his lyrics, Chitraji impresses with her lines too!

Now that competition is getting tough, such simple songs won't cut it, unfortunately. And flaws in the voice quality won't cut it either.

7/10.

Hhhmmmmm..a popular song..

I have never liked the starting horror music of this song..haha..Coming to the singing, smooth voice quality on the middle notes, but the throw is not as powerful as it should be. There are acutely sharp points in the singing in numerous places.

Expressions are relatively okay, but sometimes over-done. Simple singing, nothing as such extra-ordinary here. The impact is not as vibrant as it could be made with this song. Couldn't connect with the feel of the song, didn't have a 'wow' factor for me. Apologies to all those who like this song.

Overall, an okay performance. I would like to give a 7 out of 10.
