Rakesh Maini, Agra

27-years old Rakesh Maini belongs to a big family comprising of eleven siblings and his parents based out in Agra. Rakesh's parents are really old and have dwindling eyesight. Their only wish in life is to see their son, Rakesh performing on television. Rakesh auditioned for Indian Idol to fulfil this wish of his parents.

Rakesh has no formal training in music and has largely learnt singing through his own commitment and effort. His favourite playback singers include Sonu Nigam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shaan. Rakesh feels his strength lies in being a complete performer with great stage presence and good entertainment value.

My PC was down for two weeks. I fully agree with you that there is not appreciation thread for RAKSH. Right from his audition days i have become his fan. I knew he had a good voice and HE SINGS SO VERY WELL AND CREATES AN ATOMOSPHERE WHERE THE LISTENER GETS DROWNED. HIS SINGING IS SO GOOD.

I do not know people voting by which virtues of the contestants. I WISH TO SEE RAKESH ON TOP 2 . Please all his fans vote more and more times . Sreeram too is good but he already got a break. Rakesh needs a break too because he too is deserving. I am sure he will come up but to learn more music one needs money too. He has a great voice which ASHA BHONSLE even appreciated and he won the best singer. Why he should not win then ??

Rakesh is a real gem, down to earth guy, a supper human being. He has guts to introduce his parents and love on the National tv, hats off to his parents for raising such a nice kid.

I know sreeram deserves to win the title but Rakesh will keep him on the toes and give him good fight till the end.

Jaspal paaji,first of all i am happy to come across this thread by chance,i didnt see any one ,was wondering whether it exists.paaji,i agree with all what you said,rakesh is very good singer,good human being,nd humble person.

but i want to say what i was feeling,yes people are just crazy for their idols nd loose the ability to put across their feelings in the right way.yes it is a bit foolish also,to say that they will leave their girlfriend if he wins😆,but my point is , to introduce your parents,or show love towards them ,we dont have to have guts here,it is the willingness nd ur inner nature.some people are very introverts,some are very open nd expressive nd exhibit their emotions very openely,that is all.,nd rakesh comes under the second category.

coming to jealousy,i dont think many people are really jealous of him leaving a handful,becoz everyone definetely sees him in top 3,even sreeram fans nd that includes me.

only thing i was upset about him is he interrupted the judges when he had an off performance on kawwali round.he was like saying to anu ji,ki aaj aap jho bhi bolenghe it doesnt matter even if they were negative comments also,but today my parents came nd i am singing for them nd thats all matters.so basically, i felt he should have taken the criticism with the same feeling like he takes his appreciation.people who are watching this show are from all kinds of places,to each is his perception,but one should always be humble.sony tv ka kya hai,it needs trp for their show,it shows the emotional side of a contestant nd again banks on it,nd also makes fun of him calling him kalyug ka shrawan kumar.

so i guess this is it.nice reading your feelings,hope it gets across to other people minds too.even i feel very bad when someone calls sreeram ,names like he sucks,southy guy,with yellow teeth,red nose,he should die,all this hurts nd bad.we should just appreciate the music.

one more thing i feel is people are so pissed off at sunidhi,they take that anger on contestants too.sreeram is awesome singer,one bad performance wont stop him,but sunidhi's one liners are irritating when she can give bundles of praises for the other 2.if she is really right ,she should explain to sreeram where he is going wrong nd correct him instead,like say naapa tuli karke mat gavo,she said this,but he is from south,so sometimes he may not understand what she meant.that is my humble opinion,paaji.forgive me if anything i said here offended you.😊

thank u for replying to my post for jaspal paaji,
first i didnt feel bad about what paaji is saying,infact paaji ne tho ek baar bhi sreeram khe khilaf nahi bhola
nd my response to him is because of that only.i dont comment to irrational arguments,even it is sree fan commenting badly,i dont support it.you have taken me very wrongly.kalyug kha srawan kumar bhi meine mazzak mein nahin kahatha,the channel is mocking him,south kha damaaka bhi mujhe accha nahi lagha tha.sorry my hindi is not very good.😆yes ,i agree you have done lot of research on my posts.i indeed told about sunidhi being not qualified nd trained singer.with experience in industry,she is what she is today.i respect her singing,i am classically trained a bit nd i know what is the dfference in sreeram nd rakesh.

rakesh ki baath sunidhi ,salim aur anu ji galath laghi,that is why salim put him in hsia place telling him since your parents are there ,you should have done more nicely,topic kho divert karne nahi diya salim ji ne.i am not at all exaggerating anything here ,that was only point i didnt like nd i said that.nd coming to clearing my doubt on aasha ji's opinion,i didnt put any heading stating only sreeram fans opinion matters,everyone could have given.
Rakesh bahut accha gaatha hai,nd i always have found him singing with passion.you can see my post in shivams thread where i humbly accepted to anonymous ji ,that shivam was awesome in his performances.yes,i am craziest fan of sreeram,i believe he will get his due,only by singing well,nd nothing else.u plz check every other forums how horribly they abuse sreeram,here u still find there is some constructive arguments happen.i never abused rakesh,show me one of mine cursing him,talking of his personal matters.yes we post sometimes what is shown on video.i think u go check in sreeram appreciation thread ,there is lot abuse posts on him ,nd they get banned later,but here i am not abusing him,i am only reacting positively to paaji saying we are all his supporters of rakesh too ,nd explaining him there are a hand ful of wrong people who talk bad nd they are there in both sides mind that,nd he shouldnt be taking it too seriously.becoz he is a nice soul, nd i reacted to him.😊

southy bolke,usse paraya math karna that is what i intend to say to rakesh's fans ,nd my saying ,he is from south is he is not proficient in hindi,nd need to be given more clear advice than a statement ,so that he can correct himself.

i told earlier in his appreciation thread,that his lagi aaj sawan didnt click to me,i also told that his breathless was good but he neednt be praised too much because it could have been better nd i also accepted that his jaadu teri nazar was lacking feel that was required.this infact i wrote to sreeram himself for your information.😊
